I was there on Friday and I thought Williams was immense. At half time I had him as my MOTM.
Grimes didn't put a foot wrong when he came on and I'm sure I saw him make a forward pass !

Although I accept that it's part and parcel of football, seeing players who featured heavily in our success last season hardly getting a game is brutal. What does please me though, is seeing the likes of Jamie and Ty not kicking up a stink, but coming on and giving Cookie a headache.

I don't envy Paul Cook at times like this, in fact he's welcome to it!

I agree,I think both Tyrone Williams and Jamie Grimes are more than ok for this level.

Both would walk into that Newport side

Not wishing to put a downer on the positive performance from the defensive players coming in but Newport were woeful.

Williams and Grimes did their jobs as you would expect but the game was very poor on the whole and Newport offensively were shocking.

but they had won 4 out of their 5 home matches by the same score 3-1 i think so imo that is a typical we won so they must be rubbish comment

perhaps they were woeful as you say because we did not let them get into their normal stride of normally scoring 3 goals per home match so we played to OUR game plan better than they did

Much better to see an accurate post like this than the slating ,derogatory posts regarding our squad players some prefer to post, and we all know the names.

I don't think they played that bad. After watching the whole match, I would say we just closed off their attacking threat to the odd chance or two, which thankfully they didn't convert, while we put three away.
Someone will be on the wrong end of a beating sooner than later.
