Why the need to single out players everytime we don't win? Thought it was a good game yesterday and Metcalfe as 19yr old played an important role. OK, he played it backwards a bit too often, but apart from that, put in some strong tackles. I'm surprised he's your victim this week, when there was another player who plays out of the wing who was more deserving of your critical eye.

Our CF (Madden) cleared more than one corner away from under the cross bar.

Yep. He did great. Defending starts from the front.

On the TV, he looked ok. Wasn?t scared of the ball, always willing to receive it and didn?t hide. He also spread some nice passes out to the right wing. Obvs, you do not get the full picture when watching on the TV.
If you tell the truth, you don't have to remember anything.

Strange thread for a player who is a capable of getting stuck in. Problem with threads like this is that there seems to be no consideration of opponents or formations. Yesterday for example saw notts play with almost a square four in the middle: 20,7,8 and 18. Our 3 were outnumbered. Then at times 7 was pulling wide leaving 20 at the bottom of the triangle with 8 and 18 the top two points. Hence metcalfe and oldaker chasing shadows. Posters who simply post ?he?s crap? seem to be not really watching the game in front of them.

He did worry me a few times with his control and distribution, didn't seem to appreciate the need to get to the ball and move it on when being closed down, couple of near misses. He is however still learning his trade in the men's game.

Some don't watch the game and the movement enough. Metclalfe did ok for me in trying circumstances. Eleven games in and we've played some decent teams. He has to learn and the first part of the season has been a baptism of fire, and I think most on here will appreciate how well he's played. It's same with Araujo. He's keeping Jamie Grimes out of the starting lineup, and for me, that takes some doing.

It?s cos morons like Walton Spireite don?t get football. They genuinely don?t have a clue but their Dunning-Krueger brains means they think they do. They cannot mentally contextualise things which happen during the match.

Is that some strange Nightmare on Elm Street cross breed? If it is it probably explains why his posts send me to sleep.

I don't think Dunning-Krueger has anything to do with Walton's comments to be honest, Goku. If somebody doesn't play well so he starts a thread slagging said player off; what does he bring to the team; sort it out Cook etc. All designed to cause maximum response on the forum, hence starting multiple threads and typically not responding when someone challenges his comments (someone with a point to make would back/defend their point, a troll would not).

I simply don't get why anyone would try to wind up fellow supporters, particularly when you see the angry responses he receives. I notice those who have previously defended him stating he's a true supporter, just having fun etc... they've all gone silent.

If the comments he posts were made by a someone known to be a supporter of a rival club they would be banned. I see no difference; he's just a troll. The sooner the Moderators grow some test2icular fortitude and permanently ban Walton the better.

Beer talks in mysterious ways. I used to know someone who was a good bloke when sober, but he became a raving lunatic after his second pint and would argue black was white. His nickname was deck because that's mostly where he ended up. He's the only person who I know who needed carrying handles sown onto his trousers.
I really don't understand what Walton gets out of pulling players to bits, or getting the ridicule back from other posters.

Don't worry it's any player in a blue shirt and the Manager he hates too so is not a fan at all

Overestimates his knowledge of football when in reality possesses a pitiful knowledge of the subject matter.

The game has changed out of all proportion to the one I started watching in the early 60s, but it's still a simple game. We have some good young players who are learning about the game while at the same time keeping seasoned pros out of the side. We are doing fine. I have a feeling that he would be better served by engaging brain before fingers. I can safely say that, apart from Berry being off it, everyone played ok yesterday, and we were unlucky not to come away with 3 points.

If I could give you a green I would,so it will have to be imaginary like Walton's managerial experience.

I pity him tbh. Someone who seeks affirmation this way is obviously lacking in parts of his life. Sad really but at least he has Bobs Board.
