he's a young lad learning the game but it's a tough learning curve, banks for me is a much better option, our tempo imcreased notably when he came on.

His 1st touch is terrible, he needs 2 to control the ball, he's not a starter for us.. not yet.

He is another one who is crucifying a young player learning his trade like Harvey who also got slated by some in the crowd near me give them a chance as we are only league 2 not Premier league

Agree entirely. Unfortunately it?s been the case in most games he?s played. Said at HT in today?s match thread that we can?t afford to play both he and Oldaker in the middle. They were regularly in each other?s pocket in the first 3rd and when he gets the ball he tends to slow down the game, playing a sideways or backwards pass when we needed one pushing into the forwards to keep momentum going. This was so evident in the 1st half - chalk and cheese once the changes were made

Maybe he does have potential but we can?t afford to start him when players like OB are stuck on the bench.

Was saying today he is learning. League 2 isn't the herbivorous Under -21 reserves or whatever they play. He started to liven up as the game went on and realised if you don't look after yourself and take care of the ball, no one else will. Improving. A bit leggy but improving. You have to start somewhere.

Btw he stood on the foot of the opponent for his booking. Late rather than malicious but that?s the way it is

For me Metcalfe and oldaker give the ball away too many times, oldaker started like a house on fire sharp, positive but has lapsed a bit of late, just hangs on to the ball a fraction too long and telegraphs his passes
