Keep hearing the phrase ?when it clicks? an awful lot when I chat to friends about town at the minute. When town click
We are quality etc.

Just trying to break down what we mean by click;

Defence playing well?
Berry starting ?
Crowd behind the team?
Fluent passing ?
No tippy tappy ?
Playing away from home ?

Any thoughts on what makes us click ? And why it doesn?t seem to have quite clicked at home yet ?

For me, it's we we dominate teams with what you listed.
When the free flowing passing is happening and we create chance after chance after chance, playing the opposition off the park. This then goes hand in hand with the crowd 100% behind the team and you have positive vibes going back and forth from pitch to crowd to pitch again.
This doesn't boil down to any singular player like Berry, it's whomever is in the 11 on the pitch at that time.
And once you can produce that kind of rhythm to your play, you can produce it home and away, and you can watch glued to the performance because it's that entertaining.
Anyway, that's my take on 'when it clicks'

'it clicking' with us, or with any team in the history of football, is ethereal. as a fan, you don't know when it will start, or what made it start, you just know when it has

Agree with that. It 'clicked' as soon as PC brought on the four subs v Walsall. We went for the opposition, who started backing off for the first time all game, and we equalised within 5 minutes. We were so dominant (in contrast to the rest of the game),that their manager was forced to resort to the old 'injured' keeper performance in order to hold a team conference and disrupt our momentum. Unfortunately the tactic worked, but for that short time we definitely clicked and it got us a very hard-earned point.

Im convinced Naylor back in midfield will be the most sustainable click. He's too good not to influence key moments in games.

Just watch Crewe game.

The trouble is they gave us all the space in the world that day and everyone sat up with that result. Managers talk and I think we can see the opposition in every game trying to force a mistake out of us. We played well at Donny and Gillingham, we need to learn a fresh trick or two when playing at home.
God I hate this league.

Tbh,I'm expecting Naylor to drop back into defence just as soon as Fleck is upto speed and fit enough for 90 mins, we have to get as much quality on the pitch as poss, and a spine of the team consisting of Naylor-Fleck- Madden-Grigg must probably be up there with the best ever seen in this league?
all we are saying, is give us ...a goal, or 2+

Naylor not good enough in air to play Centre back. We have let goals in from midfield especially when Oldaker and Banks play together. For me clicking will be when we settle on our best 11 and the team picks itself. Paul Cook has been managing fitness and recovery issues, especially up front and at right back. With a full squad and being more solid in midfield where Naylor should be, we can hopefully go on a decent run in a wide open league.

No chance now Araujo has emerged as a starter at CB

Then how do you fit Fleck into the team, Oldaker has probs been player of the season so far, so there's no way fleck and naylor will play alongside each other, but you can't leave a player of Flecks ability sat on the bench.. Cook has already stated that he wants Madden and griggplaying together so we can't push naylor into the 10 role for that reason either.

Fleck and Naylor surely the dream partnership. If Oldaker misses out so be it. Fleck is unlikely to start the bulk of games based on recent evidence anyway.

Imo, it's when the triangles are working at pace. Pass and move, one or two touch.
Get it on, bang the gong , get it on

Teams evolve and fans favourites get moved on according to Cook.
Read into that what you will.
I'd expect starting with a certain 11 and changing it on the 60mins mark in areas

Based on the Fleck that last played regular football over a year ago now is it and seems to be having some issues getting going this season. I agree that on paper its a cracking combo but i suspect we need to see Fleck in regular action before we know for certain.

Think the way it goes is being introduced as sub for a couple or three games to ease him in, sees how he goes and then start

He needs to be available as a sub before we can do that. He's been on there once but not used then a couple of times the pre match press conference has suggested he would be involved then he hasnt.

Oldaker makes us tick in the midfield and is our best free kick man by miles, I can?t see the sense in him not being included. When we change system Oldaker has been CB at times in a 3 .

What is Fleck?s strongest/preferred position anyone.

Having watched most of the game again, I can say with confidence that, apart from his goal, DJ had a poor game. He lost the ball under pressure and misplaced passes too many times, indeed he was the last CFC to touch the ball before the 2nd goal, not only the 1st.
As one of those who was felt his early season form was outstanding, it is not something one wants to have to say. I think he will be rested (dropped) on Saturday.
