Simple truth is these are golden years for our little neighbours.

Third tier football for only the second time this century? A manager folk've actually heard of? Crowds larger than the average bus queue?

Being above us?

And all paid for by a millionaire's mid life crisis, of course.

No wonder they're as gigglingly giddy as drunken school kids.

But the fact they've topics hundreds of pages long about us speaks to their small time inadequacies. They can never, ever erase the embarrassment of the hysterically hilarious three sides to us episode. A day when central Mansfield was all but annexed by North Derbyshire. The five-two play off hammering. Yellow heroes Paul Holland enjoying the best of his career in the royal blue of Town and Sam Clucas comparing us to Barcelona following his rib breakingly ridiculous move over the M1.

All underlined by our fanbase continuing to eclipse theirs' regardless of any short lived Staggie success.

Clearly these scars run very, very deep.

So I say congratulations to fans of the second best supported club in North Notts. Enjoy these halcyon days. Because in the back of each and every one of those posting absurd gibberish about us minds' is the stalking certainty normal service will, inevitably, be resumed...

This. Just this. No more posts required?..

Has anyone met a Mansfield fan who doesn't support another team first?

The only ones I've ever met were either Forest or Liverpool fans primarily.

I think many Stags fans secretly want to follow us as they appear to watch our games and read our forum. It must be embarrassing for them to be in their highest league position for many years and they struggle to fill a 3 sided ground

Their forum and thread about us which as been going around 6 years just makes me laugh!! They have no idea what there talking about and no absolutely nothing about football. One idiot said he'd watched the match yesterday and the atmosphere was dead😂😂 he must either be deaf or have his TV volume set to 0. One said they'd thrash us out of sight if they played us !! They are as deluded as ever and as thick as pig Bunkum. Their knowledge of football is 0 but it does make me laugh if I need cheering up !!

None of our players would get near their starting 11 apparently. This is a team that plays Jordan Bowery at right back

They are just a bit desperate....

Last season - we won the poorest NL since they were in it
Preseason - we will be taught a lesson in League 2
Present - we have only played rubbish teams so far, we are playing poor and there's no atmosphere in the ground
Future - this is the poorest League 2 since they were in it

I don't blame them for enjoying our stint in the wilderness - we enjoyed theirs. You can even understand their disappointment now - we have risen from the doldrums with momentum on and off the pitch and rightly they are a bit worried about the rise of their dearest neighbours

Wouldn't that be great.they wouldn't be able to live with cook ball . they would be chasing shadows . think we would beat them . Did they ever get that trophy 🏆 for finishing 3ed lol 😆 they keep going on about us having longer in National League but as I have said before 16 of clubs was part time.when they won it . and how many league 2 championships have they won . we won 4 and got to league 1 play offs in are first season back in 14-15 season. think they will struggle this season and I don't think it will be long before we will be playing them again. how many pages about us now on stagsnet 450 and counting lol 😆
