I think both Dunkley and Naylor have the jitters. I'd be changing it. Neither are playing in their best position. I've got an uneasy feeling that we are going to go through a period of change that is unsettling. For me anyway.

We just need to get Naylor back into the middle of the park asap.

I?ve been impressed with our transfer business but my biggest irk has been that we have started the season weaker in the middle of the park this season than last. I know injuries have caused that and that?s fine it?s just frustrating, especially when we probably should be sitting on maximum points right now and had Naylor been in the middle I think we may be.

The photos aren't conclusive.

Thought the clip and the still on the Gillingham forum was more than conclusive - not over the line. The offside was another matter but you can't blame the referee for that, blame the assistant for that

The referee was pretty fair to us on the whole but marred by the ridiculous second yellow but that didn't lose us the match, our finishing did.

The first balanced post I have seen?. I thought bar the Dunkley sending off the ref was ok. There was the yellow on Berry but apart from that nothing really contentious.
Oldaker free kick not over the line and the offside no one can tell.
I may be wrong but apart from the shot from the new lad near the end did their GK have a save to make.
I still think we will finish top 6 but someone will have to explain the subs to me!! Markanday is one of our more creative and we take him off?! We leave Naylor at the back when he should have pushed up further forward instead of Banks! And whilst I like Jacob?s as a footballer he never ever has a been a right back. I?m sure there will be the response so you know better than Cook (and the answer is no) but his decisions aren?t beyond challenge/question.

Vontae-Campbell was our best player yesterday yet he took him off for Jacobs, who never got a cross in

Agree, last 15 mins should of took Banks off for either Grimes or Williams and pushed Naylor up , and kept Markandy on.
Metcalfe on for Oldaker, but that's easy to say afterwards.

We were by far the better side, but lacked that clinical strike and for all the possession we had rarely made there keeper make a save.

Due to holidays yesterday was first game I've seen live at a game, and from what I've watched we will be more than ok this season, if we can be clinical in front of goal

Look at how wide the goal line is on that picture, was taken with a potato.

Did you go cos im not sure you saw the same game as me. The ref and lino bottled big decisions and completely made up other ones. Even looks like Ehmer fouls Naylor for their goal.
Guess I picked the wrong week to quit sniffing glue!

Well, Tuesday will see another back four line up.
I'd be looking at giving Williams minutes and either reintroducing Grimes back (if injury free) and/or giving Harvey Araujo a run out as I think Dunkley will be suspended for our next league match ( not sure buy don't think his suspension can be used in the cup game??). If the new densive line up looks good, use it next Sat and push Naylor back into midfield.

I watched it on TV - you get a better view - ref was fine until the 94th minute.

Unless you were sat with the Gillingham fans that view couldn't have been optimal

Grimes played against City so unless he is injured again (wouldn't surprise me the way this season was going) he'll be with Williams again. I thought Araujo has some kind of injury.

Reckon it will be Grimes and Naylor in defence next week against Grimsby. Don't see any need to break up Banks/Oldaker personally as they have dominated so far. I acknowledge that there's always a niggling question mark about them so may the Everton lad might get a runout.

Couldn't understand why we took our best attacker off. On the other hand Gordon and Mandarhay? had stinkers. Berry has had 2 laclustre games on the trot is he out of position. I wwould like to see drummong given a run and can't wait for the return of Colclough and even Madden.

He didn't have control of the match and was conned by Gillingham's play acting throughout.

Out wide on the left hand side seems his default position for Macc and us. Enlighten us, what is his best position that you allude to?

I cant work out if you are being contrarian or deluded, either way I think your free eye test is required.

The Dunkley farce aside and the booking for the foul on Berry what else have we to moan about from the ref.

It?s the same for both sides but he was dreadful, needed to just let some things go and get on with the game. Painfully stop start.

The constant play acting from Gillingham, the fouls for nothing challenges and the time wasting for a start. The clearly onside goal disallowed.

The more I see their goal the more it looks like a foul on Naylor by Ehmer. Naylor needs to sell it more like their players were doing. It was a straight red for Ehmer for the challenge on Berry.

So not much then. Their player saw red, the linesman gave the offside and we got caught cold for the goal! The Gills fans are moaning as much about the ref as you so there are always 2 sides. We should be spending more time debating why their keeper only had one save to make all game:

The woodwork did all the saves for him.

Are you also suggesting we need a better striker? I'm glad we agree.

we were on the side and it looked over the line to us. There was a photographer at that end, probably from Town, you would think he would have a good pic of it. Also why did the ref allow the guy who was sent off 5 minutes treatment on the pitch? The incident was near the touchline and I reckon the guy moved further onto the pitch, even though he behaved like he had been hit by a bus. Meanwhile his team mates are all back getting instructions from the bench. I bet he plays again mid week.
