Shecks and Palmer, due to comments from DW I think, mentioning months, could well be the end of the year at best imho.

Mandeville out ?for quite a period of time?he?s done his ankle?

Wonder if that Blackburn winger mentioned in the tweet on the rumours thread is replacement as he doesn't fit the under 21 bracket

The first question is - how long is a few weeks?
The second question being - how long before he is match fit?
Then thirdly - how many weeks before the transfer window reopens will he be match fit for?
Similar questions will be under consideration regarding Sheckleford and now Mandeville.
The answers determine whether or not he/they should be included in our 22 man squad when we have to name it.

I get the feeling we'll ride things out ok.

I reckon the vast majority would be happy if we even have a small chance at reaching the playoffs. Don't think any of us actually believe that we are favourites for the league. I for 1 would be happy with a decent season and stay in the league.

It's disappointing that some of this has been forced on us by injuries so early in the season, but what's important for me is that we don't lose our identity.
Injuries dictate, but there's always a risk with bringing in loan players from Premier League and Championship clubs, trying to gauge how they will adjust and react. Having said that, I've just watched the 5 minute interview with Harvey Araujo and for a young lad, he speaks very well. It's also probably fair to say that Markanday arrives here with a point to prove.

Last season we got 98 points to win the league.
Last season Crawley made the playoffs with 70 points.
So should we lose a fair few more games this season we could still flirt with the playoffs.
As such, as supporters we need to show patience throughout the season and appreciate where we have come from, how we are building, and accept our targets might take a little time.
