The peno incident happened in front of me. My first thought was that Jacobs had made a lot of the challenge but that it might have been a pen. The players were incensed. And having seen that clip, he was totally cleaned out so I was wrong.

It was their no.5,and yes he was already on a yellow, watching live I thought he was also last man (not having the benefit of replay),so possible red for that foul alone.Berry was past him and was dragged down so how it could not have been at least a yellow I don't know.So two big decisions he decided to ignore as he did with every foul on Grigg, unlike whenever their 10 did a pirouette and fell over.

I saw that why was he holding his face as he went thru on Jacobs who never touched but the ref bought it bigtime and to say he booked 6 he let a lot go unpunished

I had the same thought seeing it real time from North Stand, but that replay shows it was nailed on. Cook did well to only get a yellow!

The issue with not many people wanting to be referees - can see why. you have to be strong and consistent, even if nobody likes you for it. One of the worst refereeing decisions - surpasses the Halifax debacle last year.

How on earth did the ref miss that ? Literally everyone in the ground saw that as a stonewall pen ?! Mind blowing ?
The ref must have thought it was an acceptable tackle ? Mind blowing

The only consolation is it was on national tv, so he made himself look a right prat in front of the whole nation.
Hope that he get's marked down for his 2 horrendous decisions.

If he thought it was an acceptable tackle why did he talk to him?
