When they played a mid week game at Wealdstone a couple of years ago they stayed the night before.
Thought that was a bit extravagant to be honest but not my business.

We've just stopped at Watford Gap services along with the Mansfield fans coming back from Crawley. We are expected home around 2 this morning so I don't blame the team for stopping over , I'll be back up at 6 for work!!!

Yes, Cook said Ash & Phil were paying for them to stay over. Then they?ll be training somewhere local and travelling back later, coming back refreshed & good prep for Saturday. Sound like a good idea to me

It took us 4hrs going and 3.30hrs coming back, it was a sensible decision to stay overnight. If the owners are ok with that then why should fans question that decision. We came away with a good point from a tough encounter. The new pitch was superb.
