I?d like to say that if that was the standard then we?ll have a good season.

But Swindon looked a poor side.

It feels like 2 points dropped but the penalty decision has really done us because the game is dead at 2-0.

Swindon will finish bottom 7 IMO, a very poor limited side. Disappointed as it feels like the ref and our naivety in possession cost us 2 points.

Don?t be silly. The slip left us exposed. It wasn?t our shape that was the problem

The slip was on the halfway line. You defending the piss poor defending is about as good as the defending from Town.

The usual weapons will be slitting their wrists no doubt. Disappointed not to win but we played well there. 20 minutes in the 2nd half when they were on top and scored a wonder goal. The rest of the game we were much the better side. We will play worse this season and win comfortably. Great to get our first point on the board.

That was a thoroughly enjoyable game of football despite the result which one could argue we really did enough to win but you can?t sit off off players like that because you?ll get punished, although don?t think he will score one like that again

Are you sure, how many chances did we actually create? As always if a team presses us high we are woeful in breaking teams down.

The ref was shocking, bottled 2 big simple decisions.

Unlucky as we should have been comfortably two up (assuming we'd have put the penalty away, of course). Their one real moment was a belter, but he should have been stopped way before he smashed it into the net. I predicted a 2-2 as I think we've probably got a bit of gelling to do, but not much on that showing. Unlucky not to have won and the new additions look solid. Special mention for Oldaker who played really well tonight. He wouldn't be the first name on my team sheet but he showed tonight why he tends to make Paul Cook's.

Oldaker, Jacobs and Quigley completely out of their depths sadly.

I actually had oldaker as man of the match, made no mistakes, not his fault he slipped but it was half way, thought he was tidy worked hard, we deserved to win should have had a penalty and a good start imo , defensively we look superb

Players needed are a central midfielder and a pacy big centre forward ? good start imo
ITS NOT THE WINNING,ITS THE TAKING APART

Completely agree. Have a look at the Swindon messageboard, all their fans admitting he was their best player.

I'd say a decent performance, soured by some officiating decisions and an unlucky slip. I'm sure we have more to show. Banks, DJ and both new full backs had a decent game. Dunkley didn't really put a foot wrong. I'd have liked to have seen some subs made a bit sooner.

If we play like every week we'll be pushing for playoffs

When was the last time we came across a ref that was actually on our side?

Fair result. Plenty of positives there though tonight. Really liked the look of Gordon and Dunkley

I enjoyed that and we didn?t lose!

We were much the better team and that should give the lads confidence that we will more than compete this season.

Defensively much better and had our chances to put the game away, won?t mention the ref :(

Really liked the look of Devan and Drummond when he came on looked a threat, many positives as the old cliche goes!

Yeah, I think so mate. Grigg brought a great save from their keeper first half and we had a lot of nearly moments (perhaps not clear chances) particularly after Berry came on. Dunkley and Colclough both had headers, Berry and Oldaker free kick. Thought we played it around well and looked solid at the back. Agree on the ref. Thought the standard would be higher back in the league but he was as bad as anything we saw in the last 6 years.

A good point in the end. Back 4 looked very strong but we missed Naylor in midfield.

I like Jacob?s as a footballer but he is not a right sided player at this stage of his career.

We need better in midfield than DJ and Banks.

Loads of positives there. The two full backs seem to be an upgrade on last year as does dunkley on palmer/ Williams. Grigg showed what a nuisance he can be at this level with his movement and we have several players who are going to cause problems behind him.

Moving forward would like to see a solid back up for grigg and I still think we are in need of a box to box midfielder.

A good start.
