Brilliant silver for Ben Proud. .05 of a second off gold. Fine margins.

I reckon the rest of them finally figured out what she was doing and pulled the 'verstappen' on her and angled towards her from either side at the start, after they did that she was done.

Yeah. 37 wins & 9 losses in the amateurs. She?s only won 5 fights by stoppage so it?s all a bit of a myth. The Italian girl bottled it
. For what it?s worth, her opponent in the Semi is well worth a google.

Yeah. Well, I would argue but ..... I know my place. You men clearly know better and are rightfully leading the way in deciding what's best for women's sport.

I?m not sure what you?re implying or trying to say? Carini herself admitted she got the whole thing wrong. She lost a fight to an Algerian woman. It?s really that simple.

firstly, massive respect to whoever puts all this together, to manage and co-ordinate an event at this level is quite incredible. great to see some "minority" sports getting a showcase, shame they don't get more coverage generally in a way. Olympic sports seem to be growing every time the games come around, i believe cricket is lined up for 2028, how long until snooker makes the grade?

England v India in the hockey getting interesting, red card for India who then take the lead after a monumental scramble and penalty.
Red card looked pretty clear cut but it seems to have galvanised the Indians

Unbelievably close 100m men?s final won by 1 5000th of a second. Last place ran 9.91! Absolutely incredible.

He?s the sort of character that will seriously wind people up but I love him. ?Sprint? on Netflix is a good watch following Lyles and a bunch of the other fastest men and woman in the world.

Gutted for her. It was so clear she hit the clay. That sort of thing just shouldn?t happen at the top level of sport.

Hard to believe in a sport like that where it can be difficult to see a hit they dont use some sort of video review system and rely on the naked eye. Apparently has been used in the past but not at this Olympics. The girl that won gold had a similar protest in an earlier round but they never showed a TV replay to see whether hers was the same.
