That's a shame you can't make it tonight mate cos I was going to ask if you wanted to meet up for a pre match Vimto and a Wagon Wheel lol  .
I hope we see a bit more creativity in and around the box tonight than we did last Saturday too.
Hope that old hamstring problem of yours isn't the reason for your absence tonight lol.

😂😂😂, Vimto is about my level now AC, although Wagon Wheels these days are more hub nut sized. I remember once having one in my snap tin and it melting into my cheese sarnies, still ate it all though 😂😂😂. I soon learnt where the freezer bags were in Woolies 😁.

I think people need to temper their expectations a little, and when you do the context of our summer business probably feels a bit more comfortable

I also don't think we have assembled a squad yet that is capable of challenging at the top, but I do think we have one capable of finishing midtable, which I think is realistic.

We are a RB short, a CB short and still no keeper. I also worry that we are all in on Grigg, and if he doesn't fire, isn't fit we may struggle at that end of the pitch too.

I fully expect us to move on some players next week, which will free up some budget to try and cover some gaps, but I think we are a bit bit less organised than we were last summer

The Xmas window will give a more realistic prognosis of what our expectations should be and any signings should reflect that.
God I hate this league.

I went to see Macc play In the play offs, Drummond was wide right cutting in, same as Berry is on the left.

You may get a chance to see him for yourself tonight

Blimey, you seem to have been getting around nearly as much as you did during the lockdowns!

As poor old Gordon is completely wrong about absolutely everything his predictions here could well mean we somehow win the Champions League.

The knives are out already in some quarters, there's no way on earth some of our fans will give us until Christmas to judge them. There's a few who were slitting their wrists after we drew 0-0 with Matlock

I know you can't drink alcohol anymore mate due to the medication you are taking and unfortunately I'm in the same boat these days and that's why I suggested Vimto lol.
I can make it Pepsi Max if you prefer that instead  .
As for the size of the Wagon Wheels pal I'm fed up with telling my wife that they were as big as the old galvanised dustbin lids when I was a kid.
She won't believe me though and she argues that they just looked bigger because my hands were smaller back then.
She thinks she's always right and she usually is but I know I'm right about that one!
Enjoy your evening with Mr Tooley tonight mate and I'll give the lads a cheer for you.
Until I'm 6 feet under baby I don't need a bed
Gonna live while I'm alive I'll sleep when I'm dead

They were massive mate, and well worth the money, in fact Jesus could have fed 6000 with two of them 😂.
Yes, we'll have to get a drink before the match at some stage and reminisce about all things town related. I'll be listening in later and I think we'll do better tonight. Give em a good cheer and I'll get the Tetley's out, tea that is 😂😂😂. Have a good evening AC.

Well we've a boardroom full of folk putting CFC first instead of one full of folk seeming to blame each other, a manager similarly invested in Town instead of a manager that, well, wasn't and the previous season's leading scorers being added to instead of leaving.

But other than that yeah, it's exactly like twenty eleven...
Never underestimate the stupidity of people

We've had the likes Saunders and Caldwell bringing in dross, and Rowe changing players on such a regular basis that we had a different squad photo every week. It's probably come as a shock to some that we have professionals in charge now.

Please see below for Gordon's list of: EFL Div 2 promotion prospects; teams to watch out for; teams who could catch us out; teams we'll need to be on guard against; teams who look more organised than us; teams who will go on a run of form and will be a danger to us; teams who if after 10 minutes have had 2 or more shots against us will likely thrash us; teams who after 10 minutes and we've had 2 or more shots but not scored against will probably beat us 1-0; teams who are on a run and could overtake us; teams who if and when we lose to one of them means promotion is off the table and relegation beckons... you get the idea... basically another season of relentless negativity and swamping of his undercrackers is about to start!
