It just gives you an IP address of a different location to 'trick' the system. I got one last year on a free trial to watch the Ashes on SkyGo in Greece.

Yeah I used it on my firestick but I always found watching national league tv through the firestick or smart tv was less reliable so used Apple air play on the Roku stick and mirrored it from my phone. The only time it buffered was the awful game away at Solihull where everyone had problems.

Tends to depend on your supplier, my first supplier was clearly a reseller so the service was shite, the last one I got was incredible, at least one backup of each channel aswell

Ok ?

Surfshark works!!

I?m currently holed up in a villa over in a more rural part of Menorca and haven?t seen a flatscreen tv for a week!

Took the advice on here and downloaded Surfshark, set my location to the UK (I?m in Glasgow at the moment apparently) and tried my Sky Go app and it works!

One month sub is approx ?15, can cancel before auto renews.

I should be ok for Friday night hopefully, unless anyone is telling me different?

Fingers crossed!

I think it?s the Sky Sports app you need to access red button matches rather than SkyGo?
These go to eleven.

Yep you need the Sky Sports app as they will be on through that but sign in with the same details you use for Sky Go. Once you have that app and signed in along with the VPN turned on you will be good to go.

Thank you, good point!

The Go App works for std channels, but I?ll log in on the website for Friday :)

Btw - Surfshark is available as an app and is desperately easy to sort (it would have to be for me to suss it out) ;)

If you're watching it via the club feed it won't let you if you use a fire stick via anywhere in the UK. If you're in Spain either use local WiFi (better signal) or set Surfshark for any country but the UK.

As others have said you'll need the Sky Sports app as Sky Go doesn't have access to "red button" games.

One thing to bear in mind with these apps and browsers is that they sometimes access your cookies which can be indicative of your physical location. I'd recommend clearing out your browser cookies if you are having issues.

Also if you are streaming via a website, I'd suggest using a specific browser for this with private browsing set.

Thanks for the heads up. I have downloaded the Sky Sports app and it seems to be working fine, so fingers crossed!
As for cookies, I?m leaving the vpn on, so it will have me in the UK for a few days prior one hopes ;)

Bit of info, Sky have done a video on their website giving a brief overview of how the channel will work via a Sky Q box at home.

I also use Surfshark, worked out at 2.50 a month, using Serbia as my location

Paired up with Kodi, Daddy live or SportsHD addons

I appreciate the suggestion but I emailed the club two weeks ago about this and haven't heard a thing back. At least they posted the update on the website last week so we learned something about the plans. I suppose it could be worth another go. Nothing ventured, nothing gained!

Imo, life's too short to even start trying to understand all the waffle on here.

Can somebody please confirm.....
1. that I'll still be able to watch extended highlights on Youtube.
2. that if I want to watch an away match live without attending I'll be able to find a local pub or even the SMH stadium who'll be screening it?
Get it on, bang the gong , get it on

Just noticed via the EFL website that Swindon are selling match passes for the game @ ?11 via Ifollow. Presume something will be announced soon or else there's going to be some lost revenue.
