This is a case of thank the fan?s forum

Then blame the fan?s forum for it now being too loud.

Is it so loud because the fans forum thought no one listened to them, then

Don't think anybody is blaming anybody , it's a new system that just needs tweaking. Its new and there's bound to be teething problems.

😆😆😆, exactly what I told my older brother. If they can't sort that out, then I'll be surprised.

These systems are used all over the league and they will sort but it needs a fairly big crowd in like Saturday to do the proper fix as these radio microphones can be temperamental

I'm sure you're right mate. They've been used for all manner of things from Glastonbury to corporate functions so it shouldn't be much of a problem.

Saw him several times and he was really funny. Compared to the likes of Jim Davidson, Collier was class.
Those were the days when comedians cut their teeth in miners welfares and working mens clubs. Some were a bit OTT for this day and age but times were different then, and whether that was a good thing or bad I'm not getting into.

That reminds me about being with a mate one night in the Aquarius. It must have been in the mid 70's and Bernard Manning was top of the bill for the cabaret that night. We were in the cabaret room watching one of the warm up acts when the little door to the right hand side of the stage opened ( anyone that's of a certain age and frequented the Acker will know what I'm talking about ) and Bernard Manning came out and started to make his way up to the bar. My mates nephew used to collect autographs and my mate always used to take his autograph book for him whenever he went to the Acker to try and get the acts to sign it if possible.

He approached Bernard as he got close to us and said to him " Excuse me Mr. Manning but could you possibly sign this book for my little nephew please? "
Bernard looked at him and took the book and pen from him and said " Certainly I will. Now tell me is there one or two L's in bollocks? "
Proper northern comedian he was lol.

I always took a packet of three with me mate, although they didn't always see any action 😁.
Manning was very funny, but I think I saw him at Batley, although I'm sure I watched Charlie Williams at the Acker. You knew your relationship with the latest girl had gone up a level when you dined out together on chicken in a basket while watching Bernie Clifton and that ostrich 🤣🤣🤣.
I took a Chinese girl on a date to the Acker and she was a bit worried what chicken in a basket really was. This from a girl who was probably used to corgi on prawn toast 😂.
Could you imagine the book you could write, with the memories from all those Friday and Saturday nights in Jingles, the Acker and the Adam and Eve mate😁.

Haha the notorious Acker car park eh mate? I always felt sorry for the guy who had the job of cleaning it on Sunday morning.
I saw Norman Collier at the Fiesta in Sheffield and remember seeing Colin Crompton, Charlie Williams, Bernard Manning, Bobby Knutt, Bob Monkhouse, Russ Abbott, Les Dennis before he was famous and just a support act and lots more at the Acker. I used to be in Jingles several times a week on a regular basis as I worked with Brian the doorman and he used to give me complimentary tickets.
As for the Adam & Eve that was the only club I was ever thrown out of and to this day I still don't know the reason for it. The doorman who's name escapes me was a wrestler that appeared on TV a lot at that time and he was deaf and also had a speech disability. I didn't do anything wrong but he took one look at me when I walked in and the next thing I knew my arm was up my back and I was frogmarched to the door and ended up on my backside on Lordsmill Street.
As you say mate can you imagine what a book we could write? It would have to be a top shelfer in Waterstones lol.

I can't place the wrestling doorman, but it's been a very long time. I know there was Wes and Rob, who was also a taxi driver, but I'm struggling trying to remember that thug. It certainly isn't down to the strength of the beer in there 😄. Hold on, it wasn't him with no neck and the slicked back hair or am I thinking of Hale and Pace 😂😂😂.
I watched the comedians, as they were on the telly,at the Palladium, I think. We were that far back, they'd replaced the opera glasses for telescopes.
I think Waterstones would have had to extend their bookcase a few storey to stock that book mate😁.
