They drew the first game 0-0.
Think they must be hard up given the team Law has assembled. He released almost everyone last year and took ages to assemble a squad filling the team with young players and trialists in preseason. Don't know why they seem to be so hard up as they have been getting above average crowds for that division and bigger than Alfreton and Buxton for a number of seasons. Listening to Nicky Law he doesn't seem that bothered.

Borehamwood get plenty of money from Arsenal Ladies though.

Derby U21 now squatting on Matlock's pitch. Apart from a bit of work on drainage it is hard to see what they get out of it.

So when you've no reason to have a downer and slit your wrists over us, you randomly choose a different team so you can continue with your doom and gloom.

I watch Matlock when I don't watch CFC. Perhaps he should go and watch them and for once he would have every reason to slit his wrists, he would love it
The writing was on the wall for a lot of last season although Law has made a right pigs ear of it. I thought he would do ok until I realised he has been out the non league game for 10 years or so. Should have stuck with Atkins and Yatesy who were caretakers at the end of last year.

Stockbridge PS (reserves?) seems to be Law's go to source for signings!

It?s the assistants word that brought the lads from Stocksbridge in.

One Indian summer season (backed by the other name that should never darken our door again) with us and that?s it.

He had success at both Buxton and Alfreton, getting the latter in the National League

He been in the game long enough but sadly not for a long while at the level Matlock play. That bit is complete nonsense. Matlock is hardly isolated and do you think players at that level relocate to the town

They had numerous Manchester based players a couple of years ago as the manager at the time was from that way and they all just travelled over.

Law is a mediocre manager at best
and kept them in the Conference for 4 or 5 years on pitiful attendances. You're dislike of Law should not cloud your judgement. He was successful as a non league manager
