Think there is a deadline some point in December ahead of the January window opening.

No deadline for free agents.

If a deal can be done for Fleck which suits both him and the club it would be a fantastic addition. He's barely played in the last 12 months so you would hope he'd jump at the chance of some game time.

Fleck was sat in the West Stand saturday with his family.

Also, there was a lot of love for Williams from most of the squad as they left the field Saturday, I wonder if we might see him move out this week?

The departures of Hobson and Horton must be imminent, and to get this addition through I personally would reluctantly consider offers for Banks. The acquisition of a top left sided CM will have me drooling.

Banks has been named in our EFL squad. If he was allowed to move would he continue to take up a slot in that squad?

Whilst I can understand players of a certain definition can still be added to the squad until it reaches the maximum of 22 I do not think you can drop players out of the named squad until January. So, unless a named player goes out on a loan deal which allows him to be immediately recalled I see no advantage in your suggestion.

Anyway, it seems we still have 3 places we can fill.

That would be 4 but for the, as yet, unexplained reason for an under 21 player being included as over 21.

yeah, I rethought my comments about Williams leaving, not sure he'd be let go without anther CD coming in?

Your Banks one is an interesting take, would create the space for Naylor to move back in to CM though?

If Banks went as you suggest then we would have a squad place we couldn't use as he's already registered surely not close to been an option

If you think cook is letting someone go who has starterd every game this year you must be sniffing glue?

One thing for sure is banks and oldaker are a lot more combative this year.

On his day, Banks' football is sublime - surpassed by no other. When it's not his day, he isn't.

Especially when they have been named in our EFL squad.

Madness - he is in the squad on merit and who exactly is going to make us this offer anyway

Banks is another one of those players who can play in the middle of the three or where he is at the moment. His vision and passing abilities are beyond this league, but the only problem is, that he's not consistent enough, although he hasn't done so bad up to now.

No need to move anyone on if he signs as there is room in the squad to add him. Looks like we want to get Hobson out on loan for regular football but midfield wise thats it.

Three spaces in current squad so no need to move anyone on as long as we stay within salary cap

Why would we consider getting rid of banks he is a gamechsnger, yes his form fluctuates but that?s for cook to manage, let him drift in and out of the first team and occasionally play him as a ten, if you need to get shut of anyone Jacob?s for me
ITS NOT THE WINNING,ITS THE TAKING APART

Banks is the conundrum. Wasn?t good enough for CM in the national league and I personally don?t think he is for League 2. Would much prefer Naylor with Metcalfe or Jones (and then DJ). Banks is a great passer but hasn?t got the legs or aggression to play in the 2.

He can do a job in the centre of the front 3 though but probably from the bench as he?s behind Dobra etc

Until the next window, any of the players not listed in our EFL squad. Probably send them out on a loan, so we can bring them back if needed (while we have space(s) available.

Sorry, to be more clear- who's place does he take?
Let's be honest, Fleck is probably a different level to what we have. At a guess, he'd probably be a top earner ( if not the top one) so would be financially silly for him to not be starting - if you see what i mean.

Is it really?

If we sign Fleck that would leave a further 2 places which can be filled in our 22 man squad.
