I think today showed us pretty much what we already know - we need another CF. Any Free Agents rumoured?

I'm not the guy from the underground car park, and I ain't a dog walker. However, I can tell you with some certainty that we won't be bringing in a new striker to replace Quigz. Unless things change dramatically, we've got what we've got until January. I'm OK with that. The Kirks need to ensure that we keep the club running within its means.

We have Madden back soon and also Colclough Mandy as well and our other attacking threats will all have to step up to the plate as they are all capable and be more clinical which will come as we are only 4 games in not 40

So what are your thoughts on the thinking to let Quigley go, bearing in mind he had made an appearance in every one of our games this season up to his transfer?

Not sure I'm qualified to have any thoughts. Maybe something had to be freed up to bring the loans in.

Also within fair play financial budgets so just maybe that is closer than we realise

I'm not sure we have a spare place to register them even if they did come on a free.

Genuine question, can you register free transfers (players that were out of contract on deadline day) that are under 21 after the transfer window shuts? I'm assuming that if you can register free agents (over 21) after the window shuts on the proviso you have a spare slot then you can?

Was genuinely going to say we should look at the released Divin Mubama but he joined Man City instead.
Guess I picked the wrong week to quit sniffing glue!

Perhaps. I would?ve argued a CF was a more pressing issue than yet another midfielder.

Cook explained the thinking on 1866 on Saturday. It was a fantastic deal for Joe, and they felt they couldn?t deny the chance for him and his family to secure a more lucrative contract (assume for a longer period as well?). I think he also said when everyone?s fit they still have enough in the building.
If you tell the truth, you don't have to remember anything.

Have to say straight after Saturdays I was cursing is not bringing in another striker as yet another game has gone with chances not being taken.

However

Now the frustration has abated and you look at what we have to come back it?s a sensible decision not to spend just for the sake of it.

Madden, Coco and Mandy are not long term and hopefully the signs are that all could return to action this month

Again 4 games in and we have dominated for the most part and been the better side without the above

I expect us to get the players back PC to understand his favoured 11 and us to go on a really decent run

Onwards and upwards 💙

If we get these players this month. When talking about Madden, Webb said after the match 'towards the end of this month, hopefully'. Did he forget it was the end of August or was he talking September

Yes, I have seen that Webb said something very similar. It?s all about Joe- a longer contract and perhaps even more money, bearing in mind FG seem to be throwing it around.
Further explanation is needed, as per Azuls post, as to what is meant by Webbs comment that Madden will be back before the end of the month. Did he mean August or September? There?s 4 big games before the end of this month.

Cook seems to be suggesting a week or two for each of them. That would be good if so.
