I wasted time looking up unapplied National League rules and can't be bothered to do the same in the EFL. However I heard from a reliable source that we'll be charged 28 quid at Crewe.

Now that seems a bit excessive appx. 16.5 % more than we'll be charging away fans (if someone corrects me my maths education was garnered, scoring at darts). So the question is what are the EFL rules/guidelines on admission fees. Are we saying the facilities we offer away fans are that much worse than what we get offered at Crewe?

Another thought, £28 equates to appx £1 for every 3 minutes so when we come across teams hell bent on showcasing their "game management" skills just think how much your paying to watch a keeper p'in about unpunished.

Anything above ?25 is too much in my eyes. ?20 is about right for this level of football.

There are some unwritten rules in the prem about charging a max fee to away fans plus some clubs in all leagues try to do deals with other clubs so both fans are charged the same. However at the end of the day clubs can charge what they want providing away fans dont pay more than home fans in the ground with a similar view. Unless Crewe and us get together and make an agreement about costs then in reality what they charge us has nothing to do with what facilities we offer when they come to us.

Is the away end at Crewe still down the side of the pitch?

I was having this conversation with someone the other day about tickets costs for things in general not just football. Gig\Concert prices are getting silly with things like Billie Eilish failing to sell out most of the nights for her 6 night O2 run due to massive ticket prices. Sunday at Trent Bridge the crowd wasnt brilliant, we looked at going but the prices were pretty high. Think i saw the other day that Burnley are charging ?55 for their opening Championship game, West ham play Man City at end of August on TV yet the cheapest ticket is ?55 going up to ?120 and there are no concessions for any age groups so you could potentially pay ?120 for a young kid! We are lucky in this country especially with sporting events that things are generally very well supported but its starting to get silly and the bubble will burst soon!

I was at Trent Bridge on Sunday. Paid ?60 for my ticket and ?15 for my lad, I think it was. Considering you?re there all day I always think the cricket compares pretty well. I think the fact there were plenty of tickets available for day 4 was more likely down to people thinking WI were unlikely to take the game that far given their first test performance. I only bought day four tickets on the morning itself after enjoying day 3 there.

It?s also an unintended consequence of Bazball. I?ve been caught out in the past couple of years buying day 4 tickets in advance only for matches to have finished early ? of course you get a refund for the tickets, but not for any related travel/accommodation costs incurred.
Trent Bridge had sellout crowds for days 1 to 3.

Paid ?60 for the first day as well and was great entertainment..BUT ..that?s not including the few pints during the early sessions, the few wines in the afternoon and the restaurant and drinks after..otherwise a very cheap days entertainment!

Yes, in a purpose built stand with the seating at the correct angle to afford an excellent view as opposed to across the pitch with the seats being fastened to what was shallow terracing. A point mentioned on our last visit when it was impossible to detect any tactics or patterns of play employed by Gary Caldwell in our 5-1defeat. This deficiency may have been hampered with us having spent the previous 4 hours at the Crewe beer festival.

Joking apart this thread was started due to being shocked on learning we'd have to cough up 28 quid and then realising there will be more situations as the season progresses. Then you look at the % difference in what we charge ( yes there will be some that go the other way) and in my eyes this difference is too great. Surely there is some governance offering guidelines.

Maybe we could charge away fans more for sausage rolls etc.

I had a quick look and think Crewe is the most expensive we will pay. Swindon and a few others around ?25 but a fair cheaper than the ?24 we will charge (Bradford, Salford, Harrogate + Donny all relatively competitive.

IT's the Championship where it's a joke, the ?30 cap only exists in the PL so Champ fans are getting fleeced ?40-?50 for the away 'ends' at Sheffield Wednesday, Burnley etc, some mental pricing.

I work in Leeds so watch them occasionally and I know they have agreed a ?30 reciprocal deal with most clubs this season (you charge us ?30 and we will do the same) but some clubs have refused to do that as they know they can fleeced Leeds fans who will turn up regardless.

?28 for L2 football is too much, and if it wasn't our first game back in the FL I wouldn't be going. Thankfully transport getting there isn't ridiculous + Crewe itself is a very cheap booze up.

The price to attend live entertainment is becoming eye wateringly expensive in some cases. I'm glad I was born a Spireite, with a certain singing miner for further entertainment😂.

A decent day at a test match is one of life?s great treats when the cricket is good and the weather is fine. Loads better than the white ball coloured pyjama stuff.

It was a fantastic day of cricket. Trent Bridge one of my favourite grounds. Tickets weren't cheap but then again it's only money and you only live once.

Was going to go to the LIV golf , was really good value at ?26 today but, the organisers must have had a mare, same day start as uttoxeter races and only a 2 carriage train, evidently absolute carnage trying to get there and not much chance of getting back for fans without a car, watched it for 30 mins on YouTube and it did my head in terrible camera work and the music drives me bonkers
ITS NOT THE WINNING,ITS THE TAKING APART
