Off topic somewhat, but what am I missing with that sign that kept popping up on the advertising hoardings that claimed that Oldham is the birthplace of Toyota? Can we put one up claiming to be the home of Microsoft?
These pretzels are making me thirsty!

On Oldhams board the fans are saying that is the best they have played at home all season, no wonder they will miss out on the play offs and seem destined for a spell in the pit of misery

I don’t think Grigg has been in anyone’s back pocket this season.

Correct Grigg has had most defences in his back pocket all season...

Nothing to do with GMP, it was all OAFC.

Correct. All down to Oldham tarring our fans with the same brush as their idiots at our place. Pitiful and costly for them. I suppose they'll take some pleasure knowing they've p'd a few unable to attend Spireites off.

I didn't think they were that good. If that's the best they've played at home it must have been miserable to watch previous games. Their players lifted themselves today for their cup final - like Dorking did - but it's easy to work out that they haven't got the consistency or the quality that Chesterfield have shown all season. That's the difference. I just thought we played the game in third gear and with the quality to come on in the second half was never worried we wouldn't get something from the game.

They have some tidy footballers and lots of them, more than is needed. But they don't have what we have - a high level manager and togetherness.

I didn't like the 5 changes, our back 4 and midfield were aweful for 60mins, Dobra and COCO brought on the quality which nearly won it for us. My motm Quigs.

Hobson won the penalty and scored. He must be the only contender for motm.

Well you inferred he would have been in Hogan’s.

If you read it correctly. I actually said that Hogan would've had him in his back pocket. I never inferred anything. 🤣🥳

I'm fine Dave thanks. Hope you're doing your physio. Hard graft I'm sure but very important if you want to get back in your motor and watch the Spireites back in the FOOTBALL LEAGUE.

Didn’t watch it, read through the usual ups and downs on this thread, but, realistically, very happy with a point away at the home of the champions elect.

So, neither Barnet nor Bromley, like all the others below us, couldn’t handle the pressure and, as I’ve said previously, are more concerned with looking over their shoulder than up at at us. We will be the Champions and the fat lady has accepted the booking.

Quigley becomes another player to get into double figures this season with the goal which has more or less wrapped things up whilst Hobson’s name is added to the long list of goal scorers.

By all accounts we weren’t at our best but in reality other teams need to be at their best just to give us a game even then. Cook should be using the rest of the season to work out what he needs for next season along with the strengths and weaknesses of what we already have in different formations.

Barnet and Bromley have been more concerned about getting 2 and 3 (looking over their shoulder) than up at us since late December. The Barnet players said as much when they had beers in the lounges waiting for Cookie to sup ale with their manager. We have committed players but it is harder to motivate them for individual games when they have assumed rightly that we will win it easily from mid Jan. We should have challenged them more and gone for the FA Trophy. Even Premiership teams pre City drop off when the League is won. It happened to Liverpool throughout the 80s.

A bit bizarre, but at half time did anyone spot the shenanigans on the pitch, with our subs trying to do their casual training routine and some prick with a fork on a stick (Whitman eat your heart out) continuously moving them on to different areas of the pitch. Strange, was the original positioning of their ??kick about?? more detrimental to the pitch than the kids 5 aside or their mobs (subs) H/T warm-up??

League table says everything, like a lot in this league it’s their cup final playing us.
God I hate this league.
