Why you follow football then?

I think it’s a disgrace that we usually play a couple of trialists against Matlock pre season, there’s a trophy to be won ffs.

It's like the Watford game.

Our youngsters played an outfit from several levels higher, gave a laudable account of themselves, and exit with no embarrassment whatsoever.

Leaving the season free to focus on the absolute number one priority...

After we’ve won the league in March it’ll juts be mundane until the day the hand out the trophy

Looks like there's extra time for the draws. Altringham heading towards another half hour.

Scrap that. Flash score said gateshead was in Extra time. 365 says pens

Tremendous news. Thought they went straight to pens.

Good game I’m watching here- Grimsby 5-5 Notts.

Seriously? So some games do and some don’t? Sums up that competition if that’s true.

Well done to the youngsters you did us proud, but glad we dont have to worry about this tinpot trophy anymore. I was bored out of my skull listening to the commentary, can't wait to go to Barnet next weekend.

I share the same opinion of many.

The FAT is a competition that has no value realistically.

I was amazed that we didn't have the entire Academy out when we played Southport.

The thing is that the whingers saying we don't take it seriously would bitch and moan massively if we played any of our main squad and got injured.

Can you imagine if we played Grigg/Colclough/Quigley and one/more of them ended up crocked for the rest of the season? We'd never hear the last of it!!

By the sounds of it, the lads did their best, and that's all we can expect. No onto Tuesday and the chance to go twelve points clear.

Some people are short sighted, and quite thick.

It’s a trophy - players (all sports performers) measure their success on their silverware.
To not give any competition the full respect is bad.
Look at the (rightful) dogs abuse Prem teams get when sending weak teams in FA and Caraboa Cups?

Did you show it any respect by actually going to the game, with it being on your door step??
Derbyshire is Derbyshire
Yorkshire is Yorkshire

Never the twain shall meet.

Think it is sensible.

Both clubs have to agree before hand. Better than the FA Cup where just the big boys decide get to decide the rules

Shame but I agree. Apparently if my research is right both Bromley & Barnet have progressed. Good luck to them in the next round 😄

Meanwhile big game on Tuesday to stretch the lead potentially

Every drawn game went straight to penalties today.
