And you'd still reckon we'd lose every game before we kick off.

I wont really care if we dont get it but we should try and lets be honest, wouldnt it be good if a club owned by a charity could beat the hollywood A listers!
I never said about not trying, Ian, but in reality the aim is promotion with as many games left as possible.
My thougts are that, unlike last season when County and Wrexham were pushing each other all the way, if we have guaranteed promotion with, say, 6 games left I'm not concerned if we choose to give experience to some youngsters rather than concentrate on the remaining 18 points. We definately, shouldn't be taking our foot off the gas until promotion is guaranteed though.

Tue 12 Mar H Oxford City
Sat 16 Mar A Oldham Athletic
Sat 23 Mar H Boreham Wood
Fri 29 Mar A York City
Mon 1 Apr H Kidderminster Harriers
Sat 6 Apr A Gateshead
Will Oldham allow 3,750 Away Fans or restrict it to 2,500 like they did with Wrexham
Will York allow more than 1,800 Away Fans
Could it be a 9,500 Home Fan Sell Out
KIDDERMINSTER
Could all be different if we progress in the Trophy?
Semis weekend is the weekend of Gateshead, so that will have to move.

If we continue to field sides like we did v Southport it would be fine to progress. It means our kids are doing well with a few of the main squad getting mins under their belts if they are not featuring in the first team. Hobson didn’t play for Kiddy in their game so he’d be available if he comes back.

With that aim, we have to consider what Cook might want to do about strengthening the squad. How on earth does he do it without disruption?

The downside of us winning is that it will mean the postponement of a weekend game when the next round is due to be played. Especially problematic if we need a postponement for the fourth round of the FA Cup….
We don’t want to have too many games too close together.

Thank goodness that is his problem.
However, if it isn't broken do we need to mend it?
At this very point in time we have virtually a fully fit squad, 2 players out on loan playing regularly at our level, and one whom I think will be signing for the club he's now at before the end of January. If needed, we have well into March to bring in re-enforcements. If we acheive the objective could it be better to wait until the close season and bring in one or two quality signings ready for the next campaign?
That said, I would expect our recruitment team to have a short list of desirable players and should any of those become available at reasonable cost then I am sure every effort will be made to secure their services.

Bromley can get a maximum of 110 points.
We need 49 points to guarantee the title.
That's 2.34ppg
Bromley are currently on 2ppg
At 2ppg they will achieve 92 points
We need 31 points to beat that at 1.48ppg (halifax's season form to date)
We're currently scoring 2.48ppg (114 points total)

Things could look very clear and rosey in 3 weeks time after 4 home games! COYB!

Doesn’t need to though, think there might be a rethink on Berry and to get him some games, he ok attacking but lets defenders run away from him at times WITH THE BALL.
What about the young lads development, if we go up that’s a big step for them.

The squad that Cookie has built is being worked perfectly, whilst the likes of Barnet are now struggling with consistency due to squad strength & others relying on a core team…this is where we could positively show our power & strength in squad depth.
Starting on Wednesday….lets hope for a huge crowd & a brilliant performance and another 3 points

We need 46 points to guarantee the title.
That's 2.25ppg
Bromley are currently on 2ppg
At 2ppg they will achieve 92 points
We need 28 points to beat that at 1.4ppg (closest to Eastleighs season form to date)
We're currently scoring 2.5ppg (114 points total)
Pointless I know but it's summet to do

Agreed. I was doing similar calcs when I got in last night at 11.30 - and the one around only needing another 28 points (at 1.4 ppg) to beat Bromleys totals if they continue at their current average was the one that got me excited.....
The biggest issue might be keeping the players from also getting excited by such things....

Still 3 points more than Wrexham had after 26 games last season
+14 on the corresponding fixtures last season....
However..... the next 10 fixtures saw us only take 10 points last season, so a massive opportunity to up this figure!
Bromley can only get a maximum of 110 points, meaning we only need another 45 MAXIMUM! 42 if we beat them down at Hayes Lane, that's 14 or 15 wins!
Bromley getting 2 PPG at the minute, manage to maintain that and it's 92 for them at the end of the season
That leaves us needing 93 - 65 we already have = 28 points
Which would be 1.4 PPG for us in the last 20 games
We're currently picking up 2.5 PPG
Make of all that what you will
