The impressive thing about Grigg is that he has a way of closing down defenders and goalies that I haven?t seen in other players. I don?t know exactly how he does it, but his closing down and pressuring goalkeepers and defenders is outstanding.

Grigg was relatively poor in his goal scoring before arriving here, his return under Cook and playing with some of the ex Wigan crew has seen him prosper last season. What the standard of defending in the NL contributed is up for debate .

Now one up front and the defensive input has been on view like Bromley.
The press though involves more than one player and that should not be underestimated, Grigg occupies the six yard box when we are attacking and simply by being there limits defenders options.
God I hate this league.

He?s absolutely class. Grigg and Madden will be great over the course of the season.

I was disappointed not to see them both up top today. I didn?t want madden to be subbed as he was playing well

I would hope and expect that he was withdrawn due to his lack of game time because contribution wise he was massive today.

Quite probably the best striker we?ve had here for 25 years (since Waller)?

Buzzing for Grigg. Wasn?t falling for him at the start of the season, but all of a sudden he?s banged 5 goals in 4 games and shot up to joint 2nd top scorer in the league. Provide the service, he?ll score the goals at this level and the one above like he has done for years.

He must be an absolute nightmare to play against. Constantly using his bottom, elbows, hips. Just goes to show how many he can score if we get the ball quickly out wide and across the box. Fair play to banks as well for making the two runs and having the bravery to simply cross the ball in
