But we have a midfielder on 5 goals, he's a striker, he's there to score goals, I don't get this 'he's not there to just score goals' bullshìt, it's what he's paid to do, and in this team, the balls we put in the box, (especially today)the thru balls we have put thru, ( not enuff I grant ya) but when we have he's missed 1 on 1's he had a chance today, beat 1 defender, then didn't have the pace to trouble the next, he really should be on the score sheet more than he is...

Thick as custard.

Grigg just doesn’t seem bothered enough to bust a gut and compete. Fair play to Quigley this afternoon - excellent cameo. Strong, involved, committed, helped us see the game out for the front.

There would be very few professional footballers who won’t be bothered, and I’d suggest Grigg isn’t near the bottom of that list
A new hope.

I'm over the moon with our season my question is can we be better in certain areas,I'm going to give you a hypothetical question you are a defender tasked to mark grigg colclough or dobra and the manager wants a clean sheet ,who are you picking to keep your job?
ITS NOT THE WINNING,ITS THE TAKING APART

Some posters just wear rose-tinted glasses and are blind to accept any sort of constructive criticism.
Grigg has scored a few but should be bagging a lot more with the chances he’s had. His movement is slow and from what I’ve seen so far he has never physically dominated an opposing CH.
Top of the league or not it’s a bit worrying for a number 9. While his record can’t be denied he needs to work on his fitness if he’s going to be effective for the next 3 years. He might have thought going down a few levels would be easy but he’s been brought down to earth so far with a bump but I sincerely hope he takes it as a wake-up call to get up to speed quickly.
At the moment I would put JQ in front of him and I would never have said that before.

All this reminds of Eoin Doyle's first season at Town.

Same sorta player - in fact I thought exactly that watching Grigg's diagonal runs today - and same sorta criticisms.

'Dun't score enough...not strong enough...not quick enough...'

But given the right ammo - largely delivered by Johnson - suddenly prolific.

It's fair to applaud Quigley's late hustling and bustling cameos. Clearly his best role. Yet how quickly folk forget his missed chances when starting.

Grigg is doing okay as part of a winning Town team often having to overcome packed defences...

He gets all these changes because he has such clever movement which is much higher than the level that he’s at, hence why he doesn’t need to physically dominate an opposing CH.

That is what is so frustrating though, we have literally been through exactly this before with Doyle not even ten years ago and he didn’t do too bad did he. Gerrit Forrad brigade.

Not gonna get involved in name calling.

Hell, I've called on us to be more direct around the box enough times.

But folk have to understand we're encountering outfits sitting deep in numbers and hoping to hit on the break most weeks.

That's a tribute to the squad Cook's managing. Let's have some faith in him and them...

If your expectation is that if Grigg is going to physically dominate CB’s then no wonder you’re disappointed

GRIGG doesn’t get the tap in chances with our team, if you watch his movement at times he’s far more to his game. I’d like to see more goals but how can we be critical when this team is top of the league.
God I hate this league.

Imagine if we had a pre-Mnogad Tschimanga in this side. He’d have had ten by now.
These go to eleven.

Big shout out to Quigs. putting himself about especially in the last 10mins, taking pressure off our defence. We must have had about 17 corners, the home side were poor and were lucky to get away with nil, their keeper was motm.

They were only poor imo because we never allowed them to play from the first to the last minute and but for their keeper we would have scored at least 4 or 5
