All the ref will say is that he was going to blow for full time as soon as he restarted the game after the goal. The abandoned route is a complete non starter.

True, but he would be admitting that he wasn't prepared to play the 'minimum' time he had originally added on. Don't forget the clock still runs on the scoreboard during added time.

With the goal at 95 mins and there being a minimum of 6 mins and Oldham fans holding the ball for ages during the added time?

He called it off early and it was televised

Your last line should start with 'Our'. During the shambles Cookie was clearly instructing the players to go for it.

As the game wasn't restarted, the question arises as to how BT, Phil, Howard, the BBC, Deedah, et al, all knew that the goal was being allowed to stand?

It's quite possible, if the ref had decided to finish the game behind closed doors, that a discussion between him and the lino during the delay would have resulted in him restarting with a free kick to us.

The Ball went in on 95.08 so by any considerations, there was almost a full minute to be played.

The Oldham fans holding the ball for ages is irrelevant for the added on time. For example if there was only a minute left after the goal went in they could have held it for 3 hours and there would still only be a minute left to play.

Some right clutching at straws claptrap about this. The game ended in a draw. There will be no replay, playing the extra couple of minutes behind closed doors, awarding the points to us, deducting Oldham points, etc. They may get a fine, although we could be punished as it was our stewards who failed to control them.
However all the nonsense spouted about we will get this that and the other, or this and that might happen is pathetic. The game is over ending in a draw, 1 point each and that’s it.

Here's another insignificant incident (I've not watched it again) that most won't remember. 2nd half the ball is played by us toward the west stand/kop corner. Their full back was always getting and did get possession Colclough made a vain attempt to get too the ball from an offside position but got no where near. However the lino flagged him off (not a chance he was interfering) With what was to come you've got to love the irony.

If there’s only 10 seconds to go before the final whistle and there’s any sort of hold up, ie injury, pitch invasion etc its irrelevant how long the game is stopped for there would only be 10 seconds to play when it restarts!

It’s not claptrap and how on earth could any stewards have prevented that mass invasion? The matter of fact is that the full 90 minutes plus added time was not completed, reportedly because the referee was concerned that to continue would prejudice the safety of the players. Hardly surprising when our goalkeeper had been physically assaulted whilst, at the time he called the game over, a flare was burning in our penalty area. The message for thugs in future is that if you invade the pitch you will likely as not succeed in your endeavours. The only parties responsible for the pitch invasion were those taking part and why you should have a down on our stewards, or the police for that matter, because there were plenty in attendance nearby, is beyond me. Get real.

I repeat there will be no replays or points deductions. We didn’t get points deductions when Ashmore was ‘assaulted’. Not going back further when the Bury goalkeeper suffered a more serious assault.

Correct. In yesterday’s case the additional time was a MINIMUM of 6 minutes. This reflects the possibility that further time can be played for a variety of circumstances that may arise in the initial added minutes. I’m not aware that the laws indicate that the added time is a MAXIMUM as has been alleged.
