Is this lad supposed to be a striker? His goals suggest he is. He apparently played well at Oxford. Why not give him a chance rather than Grigg or Quigley? You never know he may be the new Doyle. Not impressed with Grigg so far despite people saying he hasn't had the service. Don't think he touched the ball in the first half. And when he did in the second half he messed up a great chance.

No, he’s a winger and scored plenty against slower lower league defenders when cutting inside.

Yes, give Grigg the service and he'll score. If our attacking midfielders get to grips with Grigg's movement in the box then he's a 20 goals a season striker. If not he becomes a very well paid John Smith's ales cardboard cutout.

He had a chance served up on a plate and fluffed it, as many have said, he should have hit it first time with his left, I'm putting my tin hat on as I say Quigley would have hit it on target.

It was the only chance he had though. He hardly got a touch first half, so he needs the ball in the box. Quigley can't score in the shoot in during the warm up lol, but he brings other things like holding up and bringing others into play. Joe gives 100% every game, just not in front of goal.

Grigg has 2 goals in 4. No issues whatsoever.

Whether Quigley would get it on target is highly debatable, however what is not in doubt is that he’d hit it with such little power that it would trickle into the keeper’s hands.

If that continues that's 23 for the season in the league, so I'm happy with that from him.

McCallum jumped over the ball at Wrexham and yet he scored twice on Tuesday night. Strikers fluff chances, it's a part of their job.

Quigley wouldn’t have been in the position to score in the first place.

Which statement, of course, is biased unproveable guesswork.

You do think you know it all don’t you? Put Griggs career stats against Quigleys and it tells you all you need to know.

Quigley looks good because he has found his role. A last 15 minute cameo chucking himself about and bombing around. He isn’t good enough to lead the line in a title aiming side.

Without the need for any sarcasm, I was commenting on one specific move which you, yourself, referred to and not a whole career in the game. As it was, those 6 or 7 years of extra experience came to very little in the very move you referenced.

Just to return to the subject for a minute, the lad's performance at Oxford was very encouraging. Looks a good prospect.
