Can anyone tell me why Grimes doesn't pass to Horton when he has space.

That's one of my head scratchers. It's like he's blinkered and then passes it into a congested midfield...just send Horton down the wing ffs!!!

All these different people picking up on different aspects of our set-up and our play....

Don't you know, you're all just being NEGATIVE!

However, I completely agree with the OP. I also think Horton links up with Colclough quite well in the left.

That frustrated me 1st half because Horton and Dobra were our best attacking option down the left, but Grimes seemed more intent on sending the ball 30yds to the right. Thought both Grimes and Horton played really well today. Wish we had brought Berry on forr Dobra.

Grimes was superb today bar losing Norwood for his chip.

Yep. It's when you think Horton has space but he doesn't. You are mistaken. That pass is in Grimes's muscle memory if the pass is on.

Yes, he was excellent. Seems to be playing with more confidence and presence. Growing into the captain role

On the first half, their number 10 positioned himself well blocking the ball out wide to Horton from Grimes most of the time. Grimes did however have plenty of opportunities to roll it in to dobras feet who was in space but chose not to.

I'd have brought on berry over Jacobs who at the moment looks a bit in cruise control, same could apply to naylor,it's not a garden party national league,if the mindset is not right dropping down it's hard,I think both will be outstanding but if someone said naylor played in championship last year I'd roll my eyes

I thought Naylor looked closer to the quality I expected today

I had no problems with Naylor's performance today. He put in a couple of crunching tackles, distributed the ball first time with ease at times, and generally did the job I thought he should be doing.

However, I was disappointed with Jacobs. He never really took a man on, refused to shoot when he had a chance from outside the box, and basically was content to play short passes to team-mates which created nothing more than stand still triangles. By comparison, Joe Quigley's cameo was excellent.
