I did ask the question on another thread. I didn’t know the detail.

I should have waited for the detail instead of knee jerking. Just so annoyed with labour at the minute my buttons are easily pressed

I see you’re continuing your recent spell of being tricked by the right. You really need to switch on mate. They need to be employed by an Indian company and it’s for temp workers only. The worker still needs to pay NI in India, but this stops them from having to pay the same tax twice. The English employer still has to pay NI on their temporary Indian employee (the tax which Labour raised to discourage mass-reliance on cheap labour). Visa requirements are still strict.

Just had a quick look on bbc and sky news, cannot see any of these points on there. (Apart from paying same tax twice, who does that?)Thats why every other party is enraged by it.

Hmm let me have a second look, brb

Edit: ok sorry let me correct myself. The employer has to pay into the Indian provident scheme (their retirement system) at the same rate as NI. This is so the temp Indian employees aren’t paying into a British state pension pot that they’ll never receive (as there is no path to citizenship on an inter-company work visa). It’s the same for Brits temporarily working in India although obviously that number will be much lower. And remember this is about temporary transfers of employees, so they need a job for the Indian company to be temporarily transferred to the British company. This does not apply to UK companies hiring Indian workers.

There may be subsequent problems that come about as a result of this, I dunno, but overall seems like a good deal.
