You get to see now why the government were so keen to postpone many local elections. Roll on Thursday…

YouGov has done polling from 9-23 April for the four mayoralties to be contested next week.

In Greater Lincolnshire Andrea Jenkyns for Reform is far ahead at a whopping 40% versus the Tory candidate on 25%. Jenkyns is subject to a formal hearing today over a complaint that she lives out of the constituency. She could be disqualified…
Hull and East Yorkshire Reform are also pulling ahead with Luke Campbell on 35% versus the LibDems on 21 and Labour one point behind. The Tories are sitting on a dismal 15 points…
The Tories’ Paul Bristow is leading on Reform in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough by 12 points at 32%.
In the West of England race the Greens are edging ahead of Labour on 27% to 23% with Arron Banks in third on 18%.
The Tories are broadly ten points back on their 2021 final results. Labour is keeping quiet on the campaign…

Ex-Tory Jenkyns not even cleared to run yet. And you want these people to run the country, good grief.

The reality is that most people who want to run the country are not fit to do so... and the elections will be a waste of time as the people appointed to local govt will be useless and doing jobs that have minimal impact....

This treachery accusation again, Mark?

Okay, so a little quiz about treachery.

Which political figure praised Putin and blamed the West for his war crime committing invasion of Ukraine?

Nigel Farage or Kier Starmer.

Which political figure regularly appeared on Putin's propaganda platform 'Russia Today' presumably taking Kremlin coin in doing so (he's never been honest enough to reveal the truth)?

Nigel Farage or Kier Starmer.

Which political figure lied about a secret meeting with the Russian Ambassador?

Nigel Farage or Kier Starmer?

Then as a tie breaker if you're struggling, which political figure was deemed a security risk by western intelligence agencies as a result of his relationship with a KGB agent whose son he placed in the Lords?

Boris Johnson or Kier Starmer.

Starmer is guilty of many failures, which unlike you and your leader I'm prepared to condemn. But I'd suggest supporters of Farage, Johnson and Trump ought to be very careful before bandying the term 'traitor'...

It’s not all we’ve got though is it. Reform provide ammo almost daily; Farage’s latest lie about SEND kids being diagnosed by family GP via Zoom for example. The more seats they win, the more chaos there’ll be and they’ll be exposed for the farcical party that they are; unfortunately the thickos in this country don’t care about their actual plans beyond leaving what they say they’ll do about immigration. I see the party you adore are seeking funding from abroad from people who have their money in tax havens:

https://bylinetimes....x-exile-donors/

https://www.ft.com/c...53-76a7c2833cc3

From the article:

"Party treasurer Nick Candy says events will be held ‘in restaurants, people’s private homes and on yachts’"

Nigel Farage’s Reform UK party is launching a drive to raise funds from wealthy offshore donors in low-tax jurisdictions including Monaco, the United Arab Emirates and Switzerland, taking advantage of Britain’s loose funding rules to bolster its coffers.

The rightwing populist party is looking to raise money from British expatriates who can donate in their own name as well as rich foreigners with UK businesses, which can be used to funnel donations, Reform’s treasurer Nick Candy said.

Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer’s adviser on ethical standards has called on the government to limit donations from companies to profits they had made in the UK in the last two years."

How patriotic and working class. I find it baffling how foreign money is allowed to interfere with our elections. Reform, party of the working class people (if you are gullible). They’re the party for millionaires and billionaires.

Side note - Do you know what mate, it’s so freeing to not be a paid up member of a party with the option of voting for whoever you like - you should try it sometime 😉

Starmer is guilty of many failures, but supporters of Farage, Johnson and Trump ought to be very careful bandying the term 'traitor'...

Why should they “be very careful”, what’s going to happen to them?, jailed?, fined?, hung for treason themselves?, mind you all possible, maybe not the hanging though to be fair, under two tier Keirs two tier justice eh? Or is it just a dramatic line that carries no weight whatsoever?

Anyhow….my own little quiz..

Who, when in opposition accused the government of planning to remove the winter fuel allowance from million of pensioners leaving many struggling to make ends meet and in fuel poverty, only to the remove it themselves when in power?
Who supported the Waspi women when in opposition only to drop them from a great height once in power?
Who branded vast swathes of the population “far right” when showing genuine concern about the Southport cover up?
Who vowed to smash the gangs re illegal immigration only to see the numbers jump over 40% when in power and many of these illegal immigrants receive food clothing warmth and a roof over their heads and at staggering cost to the British people?
Who, when in opposition, castigated the Tories for freebies and yet when in power himself was showered with countless gifts and freebies?
Who when in opposition said he “supported British farmers” and claimed “my first job was on a farm” then hits them with a devastating inheritance tax?
Who claims to be the party that looks after the weakest and most vulnerable in our society then hits them with life changing benefit cuts?
Who, when in opposition, tells the country their energy bills will drop by £300 per year only for them to skyrocket to some of the highest in the world when in power?
Who when in opposition promises that our council tax won’t rise, “yes you heard right, not a penny more on your council tax” only to see council tax bills rise all across the board?

And my own tie break question, who pretended he was speaking to the country from his own home when he was in fact at a “benefactors” luxury London flat?

I’m sure there’s more but I think that’s enough for the time being, and of course I’ve no need to provide links because I’m sure you know the answers. And all the above have been put onto the British people, so I’m more than comfortable with my assessment of him. He’s done far more harm and told far more lies to the British people in just a few short months than any of the other three you mentioned.

Oh and on another note if I may, before the last election you asked of posters on this section, if we’d have the decency to admit who we voted for and then we’d have to explain or reasons why, apologies if I’ve not worded that completely correctly but you get the gist, and I know it’s only local this time and not a general election, but I’ve not seen the same question from you this time around.

Not really sure what he’s doing wrong exploiting loose funding laws to boost coffers? Is it illegal?
You’re last point, it’s just a new journey in my political life, the freedom to change one’s mind! And of course it’s a yearly membership, so of course, I could well cancel if my mood chooses, so still an amount of freedom.

Does something have to be illegal to be wrong? There’s no such thing as a free lunch.

Could Chris not cancel his Labour membership then?

Of course there’s no such thing as a free lunch, you only have to look at Labour with the Union donations, all parties accept donations, and if it’s not illegal then not necessarily wrong, but yes the laws probably do want tightening.
Regarding Chris Labour membership I’m sure he could cancel, whether he would or not is, of course, his own business.

Just on a side note, 5 days to go before the vote and STILL absolutely nothing from either Labour or the Tories to try to get my vote next week. It’s as almost as they’ve given up this time around!
What’s it been like round your way re political presence and leaflets etc?

As predicted he swiftly moves on from one hate figure to the next and now its Farage's turn. The trains always on time. This from an international strategist based in a caravan park in Bridlington with a hot line direct from the Daily Mirror. This from a poster who rallies around Ukraine and hates the Putin death cult, yet turns 180 degrees and with zero embarrassment, would have Israel disarmed giving victory to the Hamas death cult whose supporters he praises for being peaceful who then claims he not an anti-Semite. Is that it?

Oh wait...... Then all the links that agree with his narratives - he relies on for his opinions cos he got none of his own. Who will it be tomorrow? Trump? Reform? Boris? Netanyhau? Putin? Daily Mail? GB News? Talk Radio? Place your bets. More?.....oh wait. Look at me I'm big enough to criticise Labour but...as long as I use it as a platform to diss others.

What about vested interests in everything?

Lord Ali.....best mates with working class hater, Emily Thornberry; bu**ed Tony and bought himself a seat in the HOL; mate of Cameron's; £18m penthouse available to whoever needs it for 'study' purposes; huge influence on our media and TV; security access to number 10; mates with top brass in the MET; mates with Geldof; New York penthouse, available to those who want to be influenced; £1m in direct cash to the party - plus, who knows how many 'functions' he's paid for; £10k to Sue Gray's son; £20k to Jess Philips - for 'safeguarding'; £1.2m 'loan' to Dame McDonagh....

Just seen the little edit..
“Starmer is guilty of many failures, which unlike you I’m prepared to condemn”. ..
You mean like you peppered the Tory scum threads with link after link, sometimes valid, sometimes tenuous, tearing them limb from limb, metaphorically speaking, and still go after Boris and Farage with vigour, yet when it comes to Starmer and his government, who have probably done more harm, told more lies, and generally betrayed the values of millions upon millions of his voters and party supporters and of the British people in just 9 months, than those two combined, we have a once in a blue moon…”I’ve distanced myself from Starmer” and “Starmer is guilty of many failures”…that’s about it isn’t it? Apologies if I’ve missed anything more critical, but yep, after all the damage they’ve done and lies they’ve told that’s really hurling the kitchen sink at the bloke and the party.

This topic's dedicated to the party and leader to whom you've pledged such enthusiastic allegiance, Mark.

Could you address the evidence based points made rather than yet again evade, pal?

Cheers.

I'd also add that whilst migrant arrivals have matched those under the government you endorsed with equal zeal, deportations have actually risen since they were so devastatingly rejected. So maybe you'll offer an example of you accusing them of treachery?

Just the one will do, mate.

Then we can perhaps discuss your party's policies on the issues to which you so desperately diverted.

WASPI's?

I'm assuming they'll meet their demands in full given the manic mentions you've made of their cause.

Pensioners?

Ditto.

Farmers?

Because all I've seen thus far is a threat to tax - that's TAX - those siting solar panels on their land.

The NHS? Public spending? Schools, the care sector and other social infrastructure?

Please, be my guest, let's explore how the party for which you're urging everyone to vote will approach everyday issues effecting ordinary people...

PS: DD later....?

Taken from my weekly Reform members update…

Andrea Jenkins has fought a brilliant campaign to be Mayor of Lincolnshire. The response from voters has been remarkable. So much so that her opponents tried to disqualify her through false claims about her residential status. This attack on democracy, thankfully, failed. Andrea was cleared to stand and the people of Lincolnshire will get their chance to vote for her.

It’s so good to see Reform, the anti-establishment party, putting forward an ex-Tory for Mayor.

All down to the crass incompetence and arrogance in Westminster
A new hope.
