Okay, the last couple of days have been a real wrench.

Even though I don't do (any other) social media, haven't put myself through any 'highlights' and refused to dwell on what the more mindless of our rivals are saying.

I'd simply remind them 'he who laughs last'...

But now the wake is over. Now it's time to look forward. Now it's time to celebrate what is rather than mourn what might've been.

And that's us being legitimate favourites next season. That's us having a top manager who'll already have targets. Just as he'll move others on. That's us being backed by people who, at face value at least, appear to be as competent as they're wealthy.

That's us having a support base many in higher divisions can only be envious of.

So bring on the Ashes. Bring on cricket in the Park. Bring on t-shirts and shorts and shades and flip-flops.

Then bring on a sun-soaked Sheff Road stadium brimming with blue and white be-clad Spireites next August.

Saturday wasn't the end, merely another step on the journey...

I'm ready for a few months off definitely.

Going to Malta to watch England in the sun next month but that is me done until Drews Testimonial. Going to try and forget about it and hopefully have some motivation for our trips to Oxford City, Ebbsfleet, Fylde etc

Same here , I've only missed 2 games in the 5 seasons we've had in this hell hole. I'm still recovering from Saturday, the worst I've felt watching Town (along with Grimsby and Forest Green away games). Glad of the break to recharge and do it all again next season but please please let us get out of this league next season 🤞🤞

That’s a ridiculous effort fair play. I’ve done a few and completed all the grounds in the league (until Kiddy and Oxford City got promoted) but it’s been a slog at times.
Not sure I’ve got revisits to Boreham Wood, Eastleigh, Gateshead, Wealdstone etc in me but we shall see

How did you manage that during the COVID lockdown? I assumed you watched those on the stream?

Once we get to August mate I'm sure we will both be there to do it all again 👍👍

Kev's a cracking bloke and top supporter who travels far and wide and he will have streamed all the games during covid. I am the same but missed 3 thanks to covid. I am looking forward ( if that's possible), to going to Oxford, Fylde (they are covered on all 4 sides now),and Rochdale. Still down from Wembley but that will soon lift once Cook brings in more quality my biggest boost would be to sign Dallas.

If you get chance seek out the Hole in the Wall, High St., Sliema and specifically, The Pub, Archbishop St.,Valletta the home of some top drinkers over the years.

The pub Valletta was where Oliver Reed took his last swig wasn't it the Red Lion Buggiba was a great place to visit too

Decent little pub, found it a bit poor taste to have a newspaper story about Reeds death on the walls mind, and selling merchandise listing his supposed last nights drinks was a bit off an all!

Malta is a great place in general, friendly locals and plenty to do and see, good boozers in Sliema and Gzira an all
