Even though I don't do (any other) social media, haven't put myself through any 'highlights' and refused to dwell on what the more mindless of our rivals are saying.
I'd simply remind them 'he who laughs last'...
But now the wake is over. Now it's time to look forward. Now it's time to celebrate what is rather than mourn what might've been.
And that's us being legitimate favourites next season. That's us having a top manager who'll already have targets. Just as he'll move others on. That's us being backed by people who, at face value at least, appear to be as competent as they're wealthy.
That's us having a support base many in higher divisions can only be envious of.
So bring on the Ashes. Bring on cricket in the Park. Bring on t-shirts and shorts and shades and flip-flops.
Then bring on a sun-soaked Sheff Road stadium brimming with blue and white be-clad Spireites next August.
Saturday wasn't the end, merely another step on the journey...
