BTW not linked with us at all, just something I've seen :

Anyone heard of Jack Lambert- just left NLN Darlington. Near on a 1 in 3 striker and they sound gutted he's left.

I'm not excited about this signing one bit, we've had the one for the future line before - Gyasi, Jez and they've hardly torn the league apart. Expect him to be loaned out.

Problem with the whole one for the future thing is you kinda need some patience. What with the future not being the present, and all. Also, think Jez has already shown moments. It's the mental side of the game he needs to work on, for me. Talented, but awareness and decisions need working on and I think we've got the team to do just that.

Who was the young centre half that came and went pretty quickly? Was his surname cook?

Yes from Weymouth if memory serves, we don't have a great track record here.

Sounds like a good one this, we went to pot a bit when Dobs got injured last season. Having someone to slot in as an attacking number 10 will be a big boost instead of playing DJ there.

These type of players can always be a gamble, some will work some won’t, when it works it will be a good payday for the club. We can’t afford to have a bench like Man City. I’m more than happy for this signing and looking forward to seeing him in a pre season friendly.

I doubt he will ‘come straight in’ but with akinola, maccallum and dallas all gone there is 3 spaces in the match day squad he could take immediately. It’s up to him then to take the chance when he gets it and make a himself undroppable, same as any other player.
