I never mentioned Dallas? I just meant any activity in general especially as our first friendly is tomorrow. I know Cook is big on playing what he believes is his best side in these games unless that was just a thing last year because it was a whole new squad that he was trying to gel together. On Dallas, I’m at the point where I don’t really care anymore, I do think we need a back up striker to Grigg that’s an upgrade on Quigley but the Dallas obsession has got out of hand.

I've wasted far too much energy on here and twitter and hoping he signs.

Il give it the rest of today and then presume he was offered more elsewhere.

Least we start playing games again tomorrow. That should help
Here we go again!

I’m referring to how the fans made him welcome and the club. Seems like a person who loves messing clubs around.

Be funny if ends up with a 3rd consecutive playoff final defeat under his belt 😂

If he goes there he is nothing more than a mercenary (like 99% of other footballers). Going around the town in CFC gear, partying and being put up by the club in CASA hotel only to sign for what looks the nearest rivals for the title despite ‘wanting EFL football’ is royally taking the urine. Can’t deny I’d be fuming and hope he faces an onslaught of abuse when he returned if this was to happen.

So let's be straight here, a player we had on loan returns to his parent club who offered him a deal which he may or may not have accepted.

We may or may not have made an offer, this offer may or may not have been accepted.

He may or may not have had an offer from a rival in this division and this also may or may not have been accepted.

So the only fact is Solihull made him a new contract offer, no one knows what he has decided to do, yet the poor bloke is vilified on here because everyone has got excited by fake news.

So in a nutshell, we've damned him before he's had a chance to sign, anywhere. You lot are fickle and would have done well in the Salem area of New England.

He's a lower league footballer, a career with a relatively short working life, can ya blame him for taking the best financial package for him and his family?

Gotta get it whilst he can, don't get me wrong I'd love him here, he knows the players and the set up, but if we miss out, I'm sure we have a suitable replacement in grigg already, infact maybe that's why he's not signed yet, maybe he's not guaranteed 1st choice now?

Is he a Chesterfield fan? (Genuine question, I don’t know the guy) Because if he isn’t, he can sign for who he likes.

He’s got absolutely no obligation to sign a contract just because the club put him up in the Casa hotel. Obviously he’s gonna look silly if he doesn’t sign (wandering around in town gear n all that) but that’s his problem and like you say 99% of player are mercenaries anyway.

He can sign for who he likes and if he doesn’t sign for us then maybe the club will be more frugal in future and not put up potential transfers in expensive hotels, bribing them with drinks, women and parties, Barrie Hubbard would be turning in his grave with what goes on these days, Roy Macfarland wouldn’t put up with this kind of nonsense either.
Let me in!

My take on Dallas is that he is a decent striker at this level but I remain unconvinced about his footballing brain to play in a Cook side

Think Ibe was sent home after a day or two in Portugal for being overweight and getting injured. Just a rumour I heard, if he doesn’t feature tomorrow expect that potential deal to be over.

You would have thought that they could see his weight would've been a problem without taking him to Portugal so I can't see that being part of the reason.
Life goes on. Whatever happens.

I think his football brain is very good. His movement off the ball is top notch at this level.
If Cook didn’t rate him he wouldn’t have kept in moving the goal posts and trying to sign him

Judging by a certain Mr Waldens latest tweet, we are about to be rather frustrated... As much as I don't believe Walden deserves any hate or abuse from people, I really do hope he learns as he was using the terms signed, sealed, delivered with Dallas. Have to say that this obviously invites rubbish from people when he is wrong.
