Almost as if a player having talks with a club doesn't actually mean they've signed and sealed the deal. Also when the players contract ends only has any relevance to when/how they sign for a club is when it doesn't end that year. A player can sign for any club before 30th June, with effect from 1st July. It has been the case for years/decades and will continue to be the case. Why people got so het up about it has totally bemused me 🤷

I know all of this and you're correct my problem is saying a player has 100% signed when he obviously hasn't, it doesn't show much journalistic integrity.

I'll be more direct with my criticisms in future rather than the passive aggressive route

I've said it before EFL is understandable, a team in the same league is a slap in the face.

We are favourites by a large margin and it makes no logical sense for him if what he really desires is football league to join Oldham who are in a transitional period.

Football is nothing to do with loyalty it's about money . Loyalty went out the window a long time ago if he signs elsewhere then it's for cash

I never mentioned Dallas? I just meant any activity in general especially as our first friendly is tomorrow. I know Cook is big on playing what he believes is his best side in these games unless that was just a thing last year because it was a whole new squad that he was trying to gel together. On Dallas, I’m at the point where I don’t really care anymore, I do think we need a back up striker to Grigg that’s an upgrade on Quigley but the Dallas obsession has got out of hand.

Dallas hasn't, as yet, signed for anybody else either but I doubt we, as a club, will put up with this "will he, won't he" situation for much longer. Meanwhile, most clubs will be back to pre-season training and unless he makes his mind up fairly quickly now he could find himself a little behind his fellow professionals in the fitness stakes. I noticed last season he struggled a bit for fitness and never managed a full 90 minutes with us so it's possible his fitness can be improved upon.

It seems we have irons in the fire and, like any other club, we will have options but, similarly, those options will only remain options whilst ever they are available.

Dallas seemed to turn his ankle in his home debut. I often wondered if he was carrying that from them on and perhaps that’s why he didn’t ever appear to last more than 70 mins.
