Hopefully he signs the contract but if he’s stalling I trust Paul Cook has an alternative. As long as we don’t offer him a stupid amount just to get him but that’s unlikely.

If gillingham have matched our offer (or better) and they are continuing to sign good players in order to mount a promotion challenge in L2 then you’d imagine he would be heading to Kent.

The Trust have had an easy ride when it comes to being criticised mainly because their involvement saw the back of Allen & Carson and that they are well meaning fans who have helped bring the feel good factor back. However, some of the individuals who have been involved with the day to day running of the club have proven to be out of their depth, to the extent that the Kirks now have control of the club and the CEO and CFO have been replaced in all but title. Such an arrangement has meant that the Kirks have been willing to further finance the club but without that change and control that would not have happened.

I would sooner offer an opinion based on my judgement than what friendships I have, I find people respect you more for being able to separate the two.

Good post, agreed, that’s how I see it. We can say thank you to the Trust for saving the club whilst also acknowledging that they haven’t been perfect but they have recognised this and changes have been made.

Why do some people on here love to dwell on the past?! what happened in the past it can’t be changed, it happened….people need to look where we are now & it’s pointing to very exciting part in our history….let’s enjoy it all

Back on topic….think I’ve heard from someone that a signing will be announced this week….but interestingly who will be the ones leaving??
Asante, Rowe, Gyasi….will Quigley stay?, do Williams & Maguire figure going forward?
Lots more of a squad shake up in the next week or so
