So what if he has? Would you rather he sat on his seat getting paid for nothing?

Imo, any player at this level offered the security of a 2 year deal with an option of a 3rd will not spend much time haggling for a significant pay off.

Do you get confrontational about every message ever put on bobs board? It was an answer to a question about what might of happened - shut up trying to argue with everyone.

Even if the Club as financially enabled Whelan's move to Borehamwood it certainly will not have cost anywhere near what the outlay would have been had he been kept on the payroll for a further 12 months. His departure is no surprise at all as his name has appeared in most people's list of potential outgoings. Now that teams are returning to training I think we should hear of more such moves in the coming days and weeks.

We definately need to reduce the squad size as it is too large at present and in the words of Cook he prefers quality over quantity.

Because we all hoped we’d be past this phase is easing players off our books.

Sadly I expect this pattern to continue at least in the short/medium term

..... and, anecdotally, Danny Webb may be OOC.

According to some bloke on Facebook, he works in aldi and a player came in today and when asked said that Dallas wasn’t in Portugal so they don’t expect him to sign. I love this fan base sometimes hahaha

Stability of the management team is key to ensuring the turnover doesn’t continue in the medium term. Let’s face it, all of the players that we’re looking to offload were not Cook signings (Whelan (Webb signing), Asante, Rowe, Maguire, possibly Quigley). Cook’s record so far in terms of recruitment has been phenomenal; if he stays with us for the long term I can see this beginning to fade out quickly, and a far more stable future ahead.

Is Maguire technically anybody's signing?

I'm confused as to why we re-signed him to begin with he's a steady player but he never really pulled up trees.

That’s because he’s a footballer and not a Gardner 😁

Even if we change managers, we should be looking to recruit managers with a certain football philosophy- that way the transition will be smoother and they would be looking at/for similar players.
A new hope.

Looking at the quality of players we’re signing and the addition of Dyer it seems to me that we’re looking at a possible dual promotion attempt!

If I couldn't love Cookie anymore, I would have a life size cut out of him next to my bed if that happened.

I can remember saying the same when cookie was here first.
And what a disaster that ended up,with new owners it’s imperative that doesn’t happen again
