The point I was making is we cant bin off Gillingham and Oldham as dumps as there are very nice parts around them, as indeed there are around Chesterfield. So I doubt it will be town centre that makes the decision... it might be money, it might be manager, it might be chance to play in EFL, it might be proximity to family / friends / airports / great nightlife in a city / whatever. It wont be whether a few biased locals think the other places are dumps or not...

If that were true, bad outcomes for all concerned. If you pee the manager off you’d find yourself not playing. No manager wants the owner dictating signings (eg, Jason Lee) and it would just cause conflict between the manager and the board.

He had my head scratching with that claim as the ground is within the city boundary and you never leave built up areas when going from the city centre to the stadium. Abingdon is completely different entity, separated by green fields and about 8 miles of road.

Exactly why that matters and how it relates to whether Dallas signs or not is an even bigger mystery. All we can hope for is that Dallas decides to go somewhere, soon

There is so much variations being posted on social media that not every theory/story/outcome can be correct.

sorry, Cowley, not Abingdon, I knew it was one of the car plants....

It whiles away the time until the games start again, or at least get announced so we can plan which ones away we can make. Oxford City perhaps? They play in Marston.....
