Anyone who lives in Gillingham at a guess.

It's documented that Dallas appears to have enjoyed nights around Town could he do the same in these other 2 dumps? Could be a deal clincher 😅🍻

Chesterfield fans have been known to sing "Oxford's a **** hole, I want to go home" so their knowledge of nice areas is clearly limited.

Oldham has Manchester on its doorstep, plus the moors around Saddleworth. Its not far to leafy Cheshire where the prem lads live....

Gillingham is in Kent, described as the garden of England. Its not just about the town centre...

But its probably more about the money!

Genuinely doubt he'd be living in Oldham proper if he moved there. There's a load of nicer parts of Greater Manchester 10-15 up the road in basically any direction.

Large swathes of Oxford are a complete dump.

Wasn’t Blackbird Leys once described as the largest and one of the most deprived estates in Western Europe?

Has Anybody had a whiff of an Announcement today by any chance

Yes - Heard Cook has given an ultimatum of sign today or we are out. Sounds like Dallas very much wants to sign here but his agent is touting him everywhere else to try and make him our clear highest paid player rather than joint with Grigg and Naylor.

Whatever is actually happening I hope it comes to an end today. Sick to death about hearing about where he might go etc, needs to make his mind up and then double down on it today.

If Dallas wants to sign, he can quite plainly say to his agent ‘f**k off and stop taking the urine’.

Cheers mate. Yes I’ve seen the weather is not the best back home at the moment.

The feels like has been 36/37 here every day since we got here on Sunday and forecast to continue at those temps as far ahead as the forecast goes.

Couple of Oldham fans over on The Football Forum reckon it's a load of b0ll0x because they're well stacked in the striking department. Massive whiff of agent bringing another club into things to force us to up our offer.

Was clearly talking about specific towns not their environs and these two are undisputable dumps. However if environs are to be included in the equation the Peak District should get a mention.

Oxford isn't just what you see on Morse/Lewis. A trip from the centre to the Kassam offers a different perspective.

I know Oxford very well... the Kassam isnt even in Oxford! The song should have been Abingdon's a **** hole".....

The point I was making is we cant bin off Gillingham and Oldham as dumps as there are very nice parts around them, as indeed there are around Chesterfield. So I doubt it will be town centre that makes the decision... it might be money, it might be manager, it might be chance to play in EFL, it might be proximity to family / friends / airports / great nightlife in a city / whatever. It wont be whether a few biased locals think the other places are dumps or not...

It’s mentioned above but by someone else, but the deal is off unless the lad signs by the weekend. Agent is really taking the proverbial p*as in wage demands.
