This is how I saw it. He needed to be stronger but he felt like he needed to appease notts after two big decisions went against them.
The corner that wasn’t given to us a minute or two before they equalised in normal time could have been the difference and it’s one of the worst decisions I’ve seen. The ball clearly bounced over a foot out of play and nothing given.
Which two big decisions went against them?
The indirect free-kick went for them because there are big questions as to whether or not the punishment should have been harsher in terms of either a red or yellow card.
The penalty was a penalty every day of the week and, again, there are questions as to whether or not the punishment should have been harsher in terms of a yellow card.
My thoughts are those decisions went for them and, if anything, against us.
I thought the officials were not up to the occasion with one linesman struggling to keep up with play and a referee who ignored some bad challenges by them whilst taking every opportunity to award them something each time they were behind. Fans around me were in total disbelief at some of his decisions.
