McCallum hasn’t dropped off, more like going through the motions.

He had dropped off and was in decline before he joined us. I think the biggest disappointment is Dallas

How can you giving him the off season to bring the right players in when he brings players in who are no better or worse than what we have. He brought 2 LB's in who don't even get in the squad anymore, he's brought in 2 strikers who are no better than the crap one we had before. How will he get it right next season? Let's just hope a league job comes up that's too tempting for him to turn down otherwise with cook we're stuck in this league.

In a recent interview Cook said he will play no 9 when Dobra is back.

That's all very well but with only 5 games left and dobra is out for at least 2 of them it doesn't bode well

Not sure that Macallum can play Monday( on loan from D&R), so maybe Dallas has the opportunity to go up top.

I'd also bring Sheckleford into the team.

I've just listened to his interview. Took less than 90 seconds for criticising the fans. Then, weirdly moans about the imbalance. The elephant in the room is that he wants to play a system where he hasn't got an effective front man and is trying to fit others in around that. Perhaps he should be asked 'if you are concerned about the imbalance why do you persist with the same formation?'

The fans around us were critising Cook but I didnt hear anyone shouting abuse or whatever at the players. It was a frustrating performance and the home fans seemed to be a bit on edge once they equalised. Great turn out from Blues fans they gave the team plenty of encouragement but giving silly or soft goals away is aweful to watch. i believe we'll bounce back with a win at Daggers, I predicted 3wks ago that we would finish in 3rd spot with 84pts and Woking 82pts. Cook has to get the balance right we certainly have the players to take us up. Great to see Wrexham slipped up at halifax it should be a cracker on Monday against Notts. Unfortunately I will not be watching it as we have more important match at Daggers, cant wait to bring the 3pts aback home.

We will be lucky to get a draw. Dagenham can beat anyone on their day.

After 41 games of the season, the manager shouldn't be making statements about not being happy with the balance if the side, that should be ironed out after the 1st 10 games.

I probably did say that. Today is a disaster really. Big game big crowd and they perform like that.

yep, for sure they let us down today and they let themselves down but the season is over when it's over and we still have everything to play for, this team are frustrating though i'll give you that and at times i think they think they are better than they actually are, we have had a pattern in home games this season where we set off well, then get sloppy and let the opposition into the game, sometimes we get away with it, today we did not.

Don't get that statement at all.

If he thinks Dallas should be played up top in the sole strikers role then play him there and look at playing somebody else in Dobra's role. Why change two positions to compensate for one?

Personally, Dallas has pace and can make intelligent runs to get behind teams but if you don't move the ball quickly enough to take advantage of that then it won't work. We had a player who made intelligent runs and had a tendency to put the ball in the net, was good with one on ones, etc but Cook preferred a more work-man-like one up top. I see Dallas in a similar mould to that player but lacking the lethal finish.

Exactly.

And, I've referred to that matter in a posting under a different topic.

On the drive back my son and I were discussing the game, and we were both bemused and scratching our heads. Why do we come forwards, pass sideways and then back?

People slated Duncan but once we had a lead, usually it was secured.

Struggling to get my head around this, unless I'm misunderstood, blind, or very stupid can someone help me understand?

Fitzsimmons has been most reliable most of the season, until cook got him sweeping up at the back,he was fine staying in his area ,then cook has Dallas trying to play no 10 role ,he's trying to play roles there not used to ,I'm disappointed in McCallum I'll admit, and at one point playing Quigley, what is he thinking, also why bring in Kieron dyer in what's he do ?apart from pick up a big wage, when the camera shoots to the bench he looks so so bored,as if he doesn't really want to be here, cmon cook ,all your doing.
