You're reading my thoughts perfectly and certainly not on the back of this afternoon's win.
How critical is Paul Cook to the future success of our football club? Cookie is a leader and a winner and I said back in 2015 that the club would regret the day they pushed him out. The rest is history.
As fans, we are lucky to be in this position and so are the players and the board of directors.
There has been little in the way of transparency in terms of Paul Cook's contract but whatever the arrangement it is working well. Cookie looks to be in a much happier place than where he was when he first came back.
Given the amount of new shares that have been created in CFC2001, I reckon it would be a nice gesture for the club to gift him a decent shareholding providing there are no tax implications for either party.

Hilarious to scroll back 7/8 months and see people saying it was all down to Richardson
Cooks record speaks for itself. Incredible manager and we’re so lucky to have him

I honestly think, keep Jones fit, we win the league. He’s immense.

Have we gone 4-3-3 or 4-1-4-1?
I agree about Jones though. He's been superb in the Mark Allott role and I now wonder who we've got that could replace him should he need a rest or get injured. Akinola, maybe, but he doesn't have that experienced head.

Both 4-3-3 / 4-1-4-1 the same thing really aren’t they depending on how you look at it!
I agree Akinola could do Jones job, but would he be as disciplined in literally just sitting there and breaking things up because there is obviously more to Tim’s game with his ability to drive with the ball, pace etc…
Jones is just perfect for that role, one of my favourite players in this side

too right, his man management skills are to be admired, players who didn't start the season now key players because they remained motivated, DJ had a little wobble a few weeks back, lost his place and is now smack bang back in form. so glad ipswich didn't give him time to build success there, cos he's gonna do it here, this season? good chance, eventually, for sure.

Happy to say that it appears I was wrong.
Assuming there’s no major injuries, we are starting to look very strong and consistent, scoring in every game and starting to get back to clean sheets too.
Long may it continue.

We have seen improvement to a number of players under Cook - eg Quigley Mandeville Whelan Grimes Williams - and he has made very good signings across the pitch.
I now believe we can seriously challenge Notts and Wrexham for top spot!

Cook could be to us what Coleman is to accy. Longterm stability. If we don't manage to go up this season but Wrexham and county do, God help the rest of the league next season if we can build on what we have

I personally don’t rate Notts at all and think promotion place two is there for the taking. Wrexham will probably buy up the top spot with a few ridiculous signings in the January window.

Totally agree with your last paragraph, specifically
Yorkshire is Yorkshire
Never the twain shall meet.

They have absolutely zero need to wait for January. Wrexham no longer have their hands tied by the transfer window and can sign any player from any league like we can until the 3rd Thursday in March.

Isn't the long term solution to have a Director Of Football?
Crooty was CEO of the Trust when it had a turnover of £40k. It now has a million quid turnover, not including the football club. In my opinion Cooky's commitment to the club is doing Crooty a big favour cos he doesn't need any managing, unlike the last one who should have been but wasn't.
