He failed to convince his employers he did nothing wrong, the evidence presended to the CPS is deemed enough for a prosecution, its now down to his lawyers to convince a jury everyone else is wrong and the victim made it up.

Even if his trial doesn't start until 2026 or whatever, if found guilty he should be punished and not let off because its been hanging over his head for a while. I would expect the punishment to be the same as it would if he faced a court the week after being charged.

If found not guilty then I would hope he has learned many lessons, unlike the last time he was pulled over the coals.

Two years and ten months then.

A post both pedantic and pointless. Nice work.

no, it'll be one year and 10 months!

so, far from pedantic or pointless, but I wont expect an apology from you!

Being put through that and being found not guilty

But still losing 2 years and 10 months of your life, your career

You’d do well not to jump in front of a train

1 year and 10 months

Incorrect it's down to the prosecution to prove to the jury beyond reasonable doubt he did was he's accused of, which is not an invitation to debate it on here

And you won't get one. You're the one person on this board suggesting that having a charge of sexual assault hanging over your head is only a burden when you're not getting paid as far as I can tell.

Which frankly, regardless of standpoint re-guilt, is one of the most ludicrous things I've ever heard on this board. Which is a high bar.

I said convince, not prove. Prosecutors have to prove he is guilty, his lawyers have to convince the jury he isn’t. Otherwise what’s the point in defence lawyers?

Nothing I have said will put the case in jeopardy, don’t worry.

It's to be hoped you're never on called for jury service.

And you have literally no understanding of the law.

Astonishing that you weren't dismissed given your above statements and astonishing take on guilt v reasonable doubt. Then again, apparently we call jurors who can't speak English.

Your words. On this page.

" its now down to his lawyers to convince a jury everyone else is wrong and the victim made it up."

"Prosecutors have to prove he is guilty, his lawyers have to convince the jury he isn’t."

No, you stated his life and career was on hold for 3 years, I was merely pointing out that the first year of that he carried on like nothing had happened, seeking new employment and presumably either didn't divulge his arrest or assumed nothing would come of it, hardly the actions of someone whos life was on hold.

If you want to make other things up, which I've clearly never said smacks of someone desperate to back up their own misguided agenda.

No wonder you continue to alienate people on here.

The quote below is what I said... not "put on hold". You made that up...

"So his life and career are effectively ruined for 3 years minimum."

Which part of this is not true!? (barring your pedantry over a couple of months)

His career was on the rise.He had turned us from a side facing oblivion to one competing for a return to the FL. Was awarded a new contract after interest from other clubs. He then resigns in wake of said allegations. Drops down a league. And then has to resign again. Spends nigh on 3 years in limbo. Ergo - RUINED.

You idiots never admit when you're wrong. I do. As for 'alienation', I don't know anyone on here. You're not my friends or colleagues and don't know my identity. So I'm not sure how I could be any more disassociated than that.

If his behaviour hadn’t been what it was, or alleged to have been, no doubt he’d still have a career in football. There was enough evidence of misconduct for the club to start a disciplinary- and clearly enough evidence that meant he resigned with immediate effect when he realised the club wasn’t going to back down.

He then went to Fylde saying he’d done nothing wrong - but the CPS thought there was enough evidence to bring a criminal prosecution- hence he resigned from Fylde.

James Rowe only has one person to blame for this, and that’s James Rowe.
A new hope.

Is that not how it works then, the prosecution try to prove guilt to the jury and the defence lawyers try to convince them he isnt, otherwise why do defence barristers need to appear in court?

Please explain, as I dont see what is wrong, but I'm not a lawyer (although I'd love to do jury service - am I to remember not to listen to the defence lawyers as they arent trying to convince me of anything.

On the alienation front, I only saw this cos someone quoted you.....spoils everything that ;)

I think i have as much sympathy with james rowe as the alleged victim. Speaking as someone who was on bail last year for two month with no interviews and contact from police or nowt imagine what 2 year must be like. I was never charged with anything but jesus that 2 month felt like a lifetime and im sure i could have been released from bail earlier but felt like it had been forgotton about. The ******s even took property from my house for no apparant reason.
