I think the point to bare in mind though, like Mr M aluded too, The Arc in Matlock or the waterpark in Scarborough isn't full of tanked up football fans. I personally can see trouble brewing. Imagine how it will be for a female using the loo, then all of a sudden the room is full of tanked up footy fans singing and swearing. How intimidating would that be?

I'm not saying that will happen but there is a good chance it will I think.

I'm not sure it will go that way to be honest, it certainly wasnt the case at the Fylde one and that was the only place close by really. In our case i suspect its mainly going to replace folk going to the concourses for a pre match drink, i think many will still use their normal routines of pubs on Whitt Moor etc. Lets remember its not a bar as such but a universal space that can be a bar as well when needed. Not everyone that goes to the football and has a drink ends up tanked up and singing and swearing.

If they are tanked up and continue to get served then the club risks losing its licence anyway.... maybe the art is not to allow people to get tanked up?

with regard to the Unisex toilets in the new sports bar, I would ask the club:

If there is a massive queue for the gents on the concourse during a game, is it OK for those chaps like myself with the bladder the size of a pea to go and use the ladies toilets?

Take a long blonde wig and you'll be fine

Although I think there should be separate male and female toilets, I’m not sure the bogs in the new sports bar will be filled with tanked up fans.

I drink around the ground on match days and folk are generally respectful and behaving in a decent enough manner. Most folk will pop in for a couple of beers and not be falling about and mouthing off.

Other than the very rare occasion that ‘rent a mob’ turn out and start embarrassing themselves by showing off, footy fans are alright.

I don’t think it’s an issue of intimidation but more of general privacy and space for the fairer sex, which I completely agree with.

I personally think its a bad idea, if i was a woman would i want to be going into a toilet used perdominantly by men and need to sit down on a urine cover toilet seat whilst dangling my trouser i aformentioned liquid.
lets be honest 50% of men cant aim in a strait line and have no intention wiping the seat.

There is also the issue of capacity, doing away with Urininals in favour of cubicles means much longer queuing. However that being said it'll only be an issue on match days and obviously the issue of the facility in the week is behind the unisex decision as confirmed by dalekpete

Go in any public toilet cubicle and the chances are some asswipe has wazzed on the seat. If the cubicles are self contained they can put male and female symbols on the door. I reckon Warfey would do the designs if asked nicely

As mentioned a cubicle is useless on match days as it will only hold one person, as opposed to a trough which will cope with several dozen. No use to ladies though. This needs very careful thought and cater for matchdays first.

why does it need to cater for matchdays first? There are 23 of them and therefore 342 other days.... and extra income on the 342 days is probably more vital than keeping happy fans on match day, who can already drink on the concourses and urine in a trough when needed...

Many moons ago I used to work at McDonalds. The woman's toilets were consistently in a much worse state than the men's.

I used to work in Spires in Town, the one job everyone dreaded was cleaning the women’s toilets at the end of the night - disgusting!

Buuuuut anyway, get the chuffer built.

Been crying out for some pub style, 'half way house' between the concourses and lounges since the new place appeared.

As long as I can get some non fancy-assed snap and ale in front of a screen - with a chunk of my money going to CFC - I couldn't give a flying fornication who uses the same bogs.

Hell, anyone who's visited any modern leisure centre will've used unisex changing rooms anyway...

It's a nightmare if you've got IBS. Have to spend valuable time wiping and soaking all the wazz up while your guts are screaming ruddy murder at you. And at the town ground forget about it, genuinely more hygienic and better off papping yourself and walking round with a log in your kecks.

I will give the place a try for sure but like you say it wont totally take up my routine of having a pint elsewhere as well but I will be pleased to have a jar or two that goes someway to supporting the club, last stop a little like The Saltergate Social Club was.

I will only return if it offers a decent selection of ales to rival what is literally over the road, if its generic mass produced Wortho's or Smiths I shall not return, beer is an expensive commodity these days so it needs to be decent to win the trade.
"one day, we shall return" (edit - and so we did).

Both the Hunloke and the Batch House are Bars/Pubs and Yes they serve food as do a lot of Pubs. It is Quiz night at the Batch House tonight and here is what the Hunloke is listed as online - The Hunloke Arms, a really good pub located in Wingerworth, Chesterfield.

Why do you respond with Crap and excuses rather than just admit what you put was inaccurate.............

No crap involved. I sid i wasn't aware of any. So no inaccuracy either.

Apparently there's two pubs (not bars). Doesn't indicate a groundswell of support for cashless in my opinion. Feel free to get in the sea, when you get there... keep going.

Maybe we should do a poll, how many people are happy to pay using a card and how many will not go in if it doesnt take cash. Saves all the argument. Separate section at top where you can set one up. I'll be along to vote cashless shortly....
