We moved into a shiny new office last year and tried to be trend with neutral toilets and it went down a **** storm. Lasted about 4 weeks for various reasons you can probably guess

I couldn't care less if someone identifies as a robot, a cabbage or a duck billed platypus; but when you start with this sort of thing you're just opening yourself up for trouble. It's all la-la land nonsense from internet activists who have no idea what happens in the real world. Complete dunces.

Happiness is like a cake. Have too much; and you get sick of it.

The Hop Lamp across the road in the new place certainly was when it opened.

Still is and the speed of service is fabulous!

Never been. By all accounts it's not exactly bristling.

Hunloke Arms is a Cashless venue.

Taken from the Booking Confirmation

So that's one (although I'd not really consider it a bar). And another possible in The Batch House (also not a bar as such).

Given the numbers of cashless venues compared to the amount of pubs and bars in and around town I'd suggest cashless isn't particularly popular.

We went up sheffield a few weeks ago, and some of the more popular bars around West Street were all card only, (Vodka Rev etc)

Did cause a bit of fuss to some stood waiting with cash in hand as the signage wasn’t great but most people had phones on them if not their bank cards so didn’t really seem an issue.

I'd argue that the demographic in the student area of Sheffield is very different to ours.

That said, at present the food and beer is so awful and overpriced I doubt anyone will mind being denied it.

So long as you're happy that's all that matters.

Never been into a bar that doesn't accept cash, and as far as I'm aware no bar in Chesterfield is cashless.

Its coming dont worry, most of the younger generation dont carry cash these days (and nearly everybody in that there metropolis called London).

I still remember my daughters then boyfriend trying to get a round it at The Bridge and being gobsmacked they didnt take cards....My now Son in Law will be front of queue paying with his phone at the ground now, and my grandson will know no different.

Unless he's blind, him being gobsmacked at 'The Bridge' not taking card indicates a distinct lack of common sense on his part.

They've probably still got pickled eggs on the bar FFS.

*Edit - Missed the bit at the end. Setting aside the shiny new rented phone and bristling sense of tech superiority... if he's paying actual monies for the crap they dole out he has literally zero common sense.

I don't think they care. They just want to be 'right on'.

Men in womens refuges. Men (including sex offenders) in womens prisons... all happily cheered on by the PC nutjobs.

I’d hazard a rough guess that the majority would prefer their own toilets and changing facilities.

You really didn’t get the drift of my post did you. Whether I’m happy or not is irrelevant but I doubt very much the new sports bar will lose millions of pounds because 20-30 punters turn up with cash twice a month for a pint before the game.

No. I very rarely do.

Just the usual word salad with some navel gaze dressing.
