Surely a liaison position is someone who doesn’t antagonise both sides and can present a point of view in a calm and precise manner ?

That ain’t you Tim, you’ve just blown the gig with you’re first comment. Ffs Mr Motivator.

The way they appear to manage the East Stand he probably would!

Nah the East stand was designed for flexibility, currently staffing issues throughout the service industries are bringing up similar complaints.

That’s a low benchmark but you do realise there might be some meetings in the winter when it’s cold, or do you propose on line?

could give him an office but i doubt we'd be able to afford the heating bill.

Nothing to do with staffing issues this Friday is it?
Just cram us all into the concourse and turnstiles queue.

Exactly and he gave up on it.

Somethings don't appear to change at the club?

As I see it there are two types of individual this role will appeal to. Those who will work tirelessly for the benefit of others or those who will end up compromising him/herself for self preservation.

If the club were unable to embrace and recognise what Paul brought to the table then it probably indicates the club/board are not ready to appoint his successor.

Would it be best if we knew why Paul had left the role? Of course thats his business and he may not want to say why but was he as disillusioned as some suggest?

Yep.
Let's see the cut of Dr Paul Stankard's jib.
Is he going to get the job started after 2 years, or is he too busy organising sub committees?

Has he got a plan?
Get it on, bang the gong , get it on

Start with sorting out the shambles that the East Stand has become, well that would be a start.

Having only just read the article by the club on this position, I note a plan for a fans forum chaired by one of the directors.

Said director is Paul Stankard a Psychiatrist, how appt, we need people like Walton Spireite, H again and JRID to be part of this forum, they can get free Psych consultations whilst babbling their usual crazy rhetoric.

Didn’t we try similar with Associate directors but personalities got in the way when they curried favour as opposed to remaining neutral.

If I was on the board, I would be doing my best to try and convince Paul to come back. Let Paul come up with the plan and get a commitment from the board to allow him to implement it.

For a long time now he has consistently demonstrated his willingness to work hard for the benefit of others when it comes to club matters and his professionalism and integrity are beyond question. As I see it, he was and still is the perfect fit.

The foundation to this is the mysterious 'Fans' Charter' document, presumably kept under lock and key by the Doctor and currently gathering dust. It surely should be a working document containing a simple chapter stating what the plan and the commitment by the Board is, and what the procedures are.

I too endorse Paul and I hope he applies.

If I apply, is the content, context and opinion of the posters on Bob’s Board a good starting point or not indicative of the overall fan base? Looking for non serial posters’ opinions.

I suggest you look at the different platforms & see how views vary and then consider where they sit with your own opinions.

I don't think BB is representative of the fanbase because the majority of fans just want a team to watch. The biggest crooks on town could be running the show and it wouldn't bother them.

Having attended numerous fans' forums and AGMs there is one platform that is well informed and whose members are prepared to ask the questions.

Bobs Board has what, 30-40 regular contributors? Many of them only really contributing to the Personal section. With a solid(ish) fan base of 4000 - 5000, I personally wouldn't think this forum is indicative of the overall fan base. You would have to spread your wings wider I think.
