Local delivery offices around the country are unreliable (especially where I live), there's no way to guarantee the tickets are received before the event with the short notice we work to.

So they ran out of these last night. How many have been held back for in-person purchase, do we know?

We won’t sell out anyway so don’t think it’s in issue. Allocation is about 1400 I think. We might shift 1k but can’t see any panic really. Same for Oldham too the week after

If there isnt a problem then let the home club sell tickets without CFC getting involved and making the process much harder. This alongside the surcharges for tickets makes me think we have some absolute idiots in charge who wouldnt know what a strategy was if they looked it up in the dictionary.

If you are going to make fans lives harder then simple stuff like answering the phone is a must. Completely useless.
Guess I picked the wrong week to quit sniffing glue!

It is interesting to see what Alty are doing with selling tickets directly to away fans on their site, strangely no purchase of away tickets directly for Chesterfield, Oldham, Wrexham and Notts County but available to every other club. Wonder who instigated that decision?

Oldham selling paper tickets for their away game at York nex Monday

No other club is likely to sell out the away end tho, Southend could potentially but the distance is the draw back there..
all we are saying, is give us ...a goal, or 2+

That is the point I trying to make - sigh

It is common practice not just a CFC conspiracy that some like to suggest

Although oddly Wrexham were, I think, happy to leave Dorking to it for their fans.

What about season ticket holders who don't live in Town and can't pick them up? Why do they say no postage when buyers would pay for it?

Bank holiday ?

Just got a couple this morning. Shame it's a Bank Hol Monday as Alty has a town is a nice one, would have made a good day out, better than Oldham the week after anyway!

Apart from the murder yesterday of Tyson’s relative.

Bizarrely it says general sale from ticket office / club shop from 9.30am on Thursday. Does this mean none will go on general sale online? I’m looking to get 3 for us travelling to Alty from London but I won’t be able to get to the ground on Thursday if that’s the only option.

If that's the case then surely everyone can now see what a joke the current set up is.

It's like the club are completely incapable of understanding that not everyone lives within 500 yards of the ground. Why are they being allowed to take the urine out of fans like this?

I'm hoping its just an error on the ticketing page. I can't see any reason why they wouldn't release general sale online. There are 100's of supporters who travel 100's of miles to home games let alone away games.

Why did they even have to get involved at all, why are they poking their nose in and making a simple established process much harder? If there were 200 tickets I could understand it but they are doing it even when supply will be greater than demand.

I also dont get why the usual seal clapping remedials are defending the club over this. If CFC board members came into their house and smeared their faeces all over their walls they would still defend it. Such low standards.

Surely tickets can be bought on line and collected from Altrincham Ticket Office.
I am sure this usually happens with tickets not collected from CFC ticket office.

Yep that’s what I’d assumed until I read the website.

Altricham have online ticket sales that dont require a paper ticket or collection. You can even spread the cost using Klarna.

Chesterfield FC have decided this useful, hassle free way of selling tickets isnt good enough.

You can tell the senior staff are ex council. Lets take a simple way of doing something and make it much more complicated and harder to use.

Question should be why do clubs like Altrincham and Dorking have far more advanced ticketing systems than us that allow mobile tickets etc

The website reads asif general sale will only be in person at the club shop and not online. Thats my issue. Not the lack of postage - they'll just send uncollected tickets to Altrincham which is fine.
