Afternoon all,

South east away day on Saturday anyone?? 😏💙

For anyone on the train, take the South West train from Waterloo which terminates at Dorking. I’d recommend a pub called The Fire Station right next door which we went to last season 💙💙

A few of us do fancy a change of scenery and will be having a few pre match in Wimbledon (accessible from Waterloo by train, or on the district line from other stations) at The Prince of Wales, of course all are welcome

I have been looking around in Dorking for pubs, sadly Surrey-based James Higgins must still be in hospital so I can’t get any recommendations from him, but I have seen a couple of pubs the main high street so we should be suitably hydrated 🔵⚪️🔵 BRING IT ON! #COYB

I've got a preview of the game with Dan Stobbart who writes all the Dorking match reports on the podcast this week and he said that the main high street in Dorking is only 10mins from the ground and he picked out The Surrey Yeoman and The White Horse as two good pubs. He said there is a fanzone behind the main stand on match days too for all fans if that helps.

My daughter lives in Dorking so my recommendations would be

The Cricketers - 5 minute walk on the main road

and .............an absolute gem

Great range of bottled beers too but far and away the best bar (but small)

Just seen there are no trains from Waterloo or Victoria towards Dorking...

Okay update: There's a train from Blackfriars via Redhill, it seems the best (and only) option. The Blackfriars pub it is, say around 11:30/12. The train will take just over an hour to get to Dorking 🔵⚪️

You can also travel by train from St Pancras. Change at Redhill and visa versa on the way back. About an hour and quarter with an 8 minute change over. Nice 10-15 minute walk to the ground via the park or the High Street for the pubs. Plenty of trains.

Correct mate, it's the same train that goes through Blackfriars :D There's a nice little old school boozer outside Blackfriars which is why we've agreed to go there (slightly cheaper than the pubs around St Pancras too)

We’re booked on the train from Blackfriars. I believe the train originates at St Pancras via Blackfriars. Got a really good deal on the train from Town to St Pancras, snapped up a rare ticket of £20 return with EMR. With use of our railcard for the London to Dorking leg we’ve paid around £28 in total each. Looking forward to a really good day.
