Apparently Kabongo was warming up prematch - anyone notice if he was say, striking the ball with any force or was it just a few stretches

I saw him sprinting the width of the pitch several times, and acting as the wall for wall passes, both running forward and running backwards. Pretty intensive stamina stuff.
Get it on, bang the gong , get it on

He did everything the others did, but they didn't do the normal thing with shooting practice while I was watching, and I don't think I missed anything. He did full out sprints across the width of the pitch with just a coach and was going flat out.
I personally don't expect him to start games just yet, but to be eased in when the time is right and he is mentally ready - Wrexham kicking the hell out of him to see how he fancies it is an example of what he can do without just yet.

Excellent result and hope you are right but can such judgements be made on the basis of a home friendly against possibly complacent/under motivated opposition, as opposed to, say, Solihull in a league game?

I was sat immediately behind some of our bench and they said that Bradford were going for it but couldn’t get any control going forward
God I hate this league.

Banks and Horton stand out massively watching that. Those diagonals from midfield will cause carnage all year

We cross from the edge of the box in to the space between keeper and defence with the forward playing off the shoulder. Much more effective than crossing from the by line to a box full of defenders who have had time to get back in to position. The only success I remember doing this last season was from the 2nd balls (kellermann vs Yeovil Yeovil Carline vs Bromley?)
Here we go again!

Having just watched the highlights and for someone who has been critical of him in the past I have to say how well Mandeville took his goal. The move reminded me of the one which led to Quigley's goal in the play-offs. More movement and end results like that from Liam and he might just become the player I thought JS had signed.

Apart from Banks & Horton I thought Quigley & Asante looked decent too.

Couldn’t make the match but happy we’ve played so well. We’re gonna have a good season. Also chuffed to see Quigley bagging a couple and Mandeville too, nice slice of humble pie for me some season end if they get some consistency to their game.

According to reports Bradford are one of the favourites with the bookies to win promotion they start next week but we made them look very ordinary at times

7/1 joint favourites with Stockport.

The expectation on Wrexham is off the charts for this season & never seen a team odds on to win this league, outsiders think they’ll walk it….personally I don’t think it will…I always like to be positive, but I can see us walking it…smashing teams left right and centre (well the mediocre ones)

They’re not odds, not yet anyway.

6/4 seems the best you can get atm.

Brilliant finish from Mandeville. Some good stuff there.

I agree Mandy has been exceptional in the last 2 friendlies. I just hope he can maintain that level of effort and not tail off toward the end of the season. Time will tell.

Hang on. Previously, he's tailed off when the first ball of the season has been kicked. If he only tails off towards the end of the season it will be a massive improvement.

The cross from King for Mandeville's goal was inch perfect.
The defender was a big bloke and the ball cleared his leap by inches and just dropped onto Mandeville's foot.

What really impressed me was the way we just kept switching play. Bradford didn't have a clue as to which direction we were coming from. Loved it.
Cooky football is returning to us.
Life goes on. Whatever happens.

I thought it was lovely that Town let Scott Boden be the ref for the day.
Guess I picked the wrong week to quit sniffing glue!

" just dropped onto Mandeville's foot " doesn't quite do Mandy justice. Magnificent first touch I would say and finish that Sir Jack would have been proud of. Great pass as well of course.
