Following on from the previous fun over dates changing late on then deciding the London Stadium was the only option in case Notts County played Wrexham in the final even though its missing loads of seats due to impending concerts and a monster truck event then setting prices that were over the top including no concessions they had to do a uturn on...seems the leagues main sponsor is now laying into the league giving the two clubs £20,000 each to cover travel costs for fans and saying pricing etc was nothing they had a chance to make any input on :-

No surprise that the people running this league continue to embarrass themselves. A pointless statement naming a Wrexham and Notts County final (who were unlikely to be able to play in the final from a long way out) as a reason was embarrassing, especially as ourselves and Grimsby would have taken as many as Notts (granted the new 'glamour' boys might have edged it on numbers).

What really shows them up is that they chose the London Stadium because of the size of crowd for two teams yet the Football league decide to play the community shield at Leicester's ground. Wonder which game would get the bigger crowd 🤔

Solihull have already sold more than I thought they would.

Which wasn’t many admittedly.

I don’t begrudge Grimsby going up if I’m honest.

There’s certainly no love lost between us and them but credit where it’s due.

I know the table doesn’t lie but IMO they were the best side I saw at our place last season and to get through via the playoffs, if they do, would be a fantastic achievement.

Winning at Notts after ET, winning at Wrexham after another bout of ET and then to beat the in-form side who’ve only lost 1 in 23 would be fully deserving of going up via the playoffs.

Still don’t like em, though.

I hope Grimsby win comfortably and on the basis of the last two performances they deserve to go up. Really like PH too who is totally relaxed and doesn’t seem to care less about any expectations or bell shot media coverage. He just let’s the players express themselves and not afraid either to make big decisions by replacing the two strikers even when they were excellent
Top man, respect. Apparently the 4-3-3 formation isn’t yet outdated….

I want Solihull to win purely because it will mean a bigger crowd at home next season. The club's finances takes precedence over Personal feelings for sure.
And OK I admit it, I can't stand Grimsby.

Grimsby staying down would imo make it harder to go up next season, which wouldnt help finances

I’m in the Grimsby to win camp, think Solihull may get cherry picked without much to put folk off whilst Grimsby would be strong again next year.

Agree. Can’t see them being able to keep the likes of Sbarra and Dallas should they fail.

Get rid of a bigger club as I can’t see Solihull being in the mix next year if they don’t go up this time.

Grimsby up for me, makes it a hell of a lot easier in our quest to be promoted with these out the way. Solihull will NOT do as well next campaign, another Torquay once all the best players have departed to bigger clubs.

Grimsby for me too.

Slightly off topic, but how many did Salford take when they won their play off? IIRC was it in the region of 3,000?

It’s bad enough Wrexham will be down here next season.

Grimsby winning 3-0 will do me just fine

Congratulations grimsby.

Should not have gone down in the first place. They are a side I usually like and one of those sides that I can watch with my son as we both like them.

Solihull on the other hand.....
