This is a bit of a non story 'cos I have no detail, but a few people might be mildly interested.

There's a young lad playing tonight for Forest who was born and brung up within a mile of the Technique (near Chester's I think), played on Stand Road, whose grandad sits next to me in the west stand. Only info I have is that he's a left sided attacker and he plays with teammates much older - so he's probably very good (not his grandad).

How the bludddy hell we missed him might be an interesting story.

Good luck, whoever you are. I think the match is being televised somewhere.

True, but the sheer achievement by Forest is worth a line.

That’s the sort of thing Nottingham Forest should be doing occasionally isn’t it? I don’t naturally celebrate any success from over that side of the border but I do acknowledge that they are a big club with a proud history.

Jack Nadin….. 16 or 17

Not sure we missed him….. the better kids go to SUFC, Wed forest or derby. Think he’s been at Forest from an early age.

And let’s be honest we don’t have a formal Academy.

The match is available on MUTV or on the FA Player. Playing in front of a sold out Old Trafford will be an amazing experience for these young lads.

He is a big town fan and my mates lad, he has been with Forest since he was 6-7. Unfortunately he got injured in the Semi Final so maybe a doubt tonight. The Semi was a great game where it looked like Forest were going out but thanks to 2 late goals they made the final.

Good luck Jack and the team.

On the bench tonight. A crowd of 62,000 at Old Trafford expected. To be hoped he gets some game time. Good luck lad.

bump

Well after today's triumph, I'd be very disappointed to read that Jack goes anywhere else but here if Forest decide he needs to go out on loan, perhaps in a year's time.

He needs to be up on Cooky's whiteboard in the new transfer room.

More likely Notts County. For some reason we aren’t attractive or don’t want these players. SUFC have sent some of theirs to Southend, Notts county and even Solihull this season.

Was that perhaps due to an adversity to loanees by the previous manager?

Have we gone through a season before, without using a loan player?
Derbyshire is Derbyshire
