Mandeville would go for me too, good on the eye but contributes very little

Hollis is an interesting one, injury wise.
I was chatting to him a couple of weeks ago and he was saying this is his first long-term injury in his career.
He was playing really well prior to his injury and hasn’t got a poor history of injuries.
Not saying he should be retained but I’m not sure he falls into the Croll and Oyeleke bracket with injury risk.

Big gap in between I’m afraid to say which needs to be fixed before we start the next campaign even if key players are back
Maybe more importantly PC doesn’t seem to think the basis of success is a solid back 4. In my opinion this is where he should start rethinking but on previous form I doubt it. He doesn’t seem to be able to count that far….

Carline
Rowe (if good news about his condition)
Clarke
Williams
Tshimanga
King
Croll
Khan
Whittle
Depending on a good pre season:-
Asante
The rest for me not good enough if we are going for the title , obviously some not mentioned will be under contract so we will probably be stuck with them for another season. Cook needs to work his magic now and build a team to get us back into the league. We definitely need more height and more pace in the side and we need more winners and fighters , I feel we get bullied a lot especially against teams like Solihull etc. COYB.🙂

…so why hasn’t he used the system for half the season when we’ve had obvious frailties ?

Loach for me is a good shot stopper but doesn't command is area and he gives me the jitters everytime a ball is in the air. For the size of the bloke he should be taking everything in the air . Just my opinion of course.

If he was both of those things he’d be playing much higher than the National League

You've not answered my question.
Good discussion post though.
Another question is.....
How can you possibly conclude that Croll is a better or more reliable player than Gunning?

What is your retained list for next season?
I'll start.
Hollis
Croll
Grimes
King
Oyeleke
Khan
Kabby
Clarke
Whittle
Mandeville
Carline
Rowe
Dons tin hat
Why would you retain a player who hasn't kicked a ball for us all season and you don't know to what level of fitness he will be next season?
We have been blighted by injuries all season yet you have included a number of players who are injury prone.
I believe we should be looking at a smaller squad full of players able to start next season 100% fit and not having a regular injury record on their CV. Naturally, we have injured players already under contract and I would be prepared to honour their agreements as it can be quite expensive to move them on.

I personally preferred Grant Smith as goalkeeper having watched all his games albeit via the streams. Same with Croll and Gunning I have seen all their games, I do actually like Gunning and think he is a good leader but I feel Croll would be more suited to Cooks type of play , being as they've both been injured if I had to choose it would be Croll. Again my opinion!

Croll is our best centre back and it’s not even close.

Ed McGinty, Nando Pijnaker, Aidan Keena from Sligo Rovers might be a good start...
