A bit early but more good news!! The ref appointed for this high profile fixture will be doing his 7th game at this level. Two of the previous 6 being 2-0 defeats for us, were controversial decisions saw us lose at Halifax and a dodgy pen saw us go 2 down at Torquay, but there were many worse performances on the pitch that day.

Will he have the experience and b..llocks to cope with the inevitable undue pressure and sh..housery???

Thats all we need to hear after he was easily fooled by the laughing Torquay **** and his swallow dive for the penalty

Where do they get these appointments for big matches from?

Could’ve done with the level headed ref from Halifax on Tuesday night.

Isn’t it amazing how we’ve all re-adjusted our own perspective! My SWFC mate who came with us on Tuesday (he’s a lucky omen and I take him to all the big games when he’s not taking, in his own words, a true fan’s ticket!) thought he was inconsistent and often conned! I said if he thought he was bbq’d he should have seen some of the others!!

We need to watch the w*nker that is Mark Ellis, the piece of 💩 that play acted to get Weston sent off up here. He will again using his theatrics I reckon.

I see he’s been an unused sub latterly, but no doubt they all undergo the same training. Talking of such players, is Jamie Osborne banned for the game? He was sent off for a reckless tackle one match ago, so if he has a 3 match ban presumably he won’t be available.

Edit. Per Moors website, he’s under a 3 match ban.

He hasn’t been starting thankfully but yes we do need to make sure we don’t give him any reason to con the ref.

After the great win in Tuesday night I think the news yesterday was a massive blow (good luck to Danny, all the best) and now puts us at a disadvantage of being the underdogs again. Why? Bescae we will now have to start with Quigley or Denton which then makes us play route 1 when we looked better passing it around on Tuesday.

Asante needs to play if we're to play like we did on Tuesday. We need to be able to put pressure on their defence/midfield when they have the ball, Denton and Quigley can't do that. If Asante doesn't play then our entire game plan has to change and we probably revert to looking like we have done prior to the Halifax game.

I’d start Khan as the false 9 if our only options are Denton or Quigley. He can run with the ball at goal, hit the target and is always a nuisance for defenders.

on tuesday with rowe on we almost played with a false 9, rowe drifts into positions and is hard to mark i'd imagine, with khan and miller in that 1st half halifax weren't entirely sure what to do. trouble with dents and quigley is that they are too easy to mark and for a well drilled side like solihull, we'd be playing into their hands to play up to them, tricky one, no idea how far off asante is, tyson can't do it for a whole game i wouldn't think, for me i wouldn't want to change too much from tuesday.

Yep I think that would be our best bet, with Tyson coming on 65+ mins.

Anybody but Denton and Quigley, in that order.

Yet I think one of the biggest differences between Quigley and Denton is that Joe is more mobile than Tom and as a result can put pressure on defenders by closing them down.

However, I tend to feel that Cook will have to start with whoever is fittest to last a hour or so with a view to bringing Tyson on again around that mark. Apart from juggling the fittest players available he hasn't too much choice and there could be a possibility that even Payne comes into the equation.

Sorry I’ve yet to see Quigley do the closing down gig and I’ll include Tom the same, they simply can’t do it.

Granted, but half this board is more mobile than Tom. I'm sure Quigley could run about for a bit, but we ideally want a bit of nowse up top as well - Quigley has zero of that. Watching him constantly stray offside and be played by cleverer defenders is painful. In fact, I'll go as far to say that if we start with Quigley or Denton up top on Sunday we lose the match.
